My wife had a tea kettle for many years and then something happened and it broke. This was a sad day, my wife really liked that kettle.

I looked at many different replacement kettles but could not decide on one. So, I asked for our daughter's help. We both decided that this would be the best replacement.

My wife is now happier. As we all know: happy wife, happy life.

In a traditional case of the pot not being the same color as the kettle, I bought the "Matte Red" version of this bad boy. #allredeverything It is a good tea kettle. I rarely wash it. Seriously, what is the point of washing it. The only thing that ever goes inside of it is water and it is then boiled so as to remove any contaminates. I ain't washing that crap. The dishwasher is busy, sorry.

Anyway, Primula engineers deserve kudos. This is loud as f. One of my least favorite things in the world (this list appears to be getting long) is when Mrs. Philyodaddy just lets that beast go on for minutes. She's filing the nails, she's reading the US weekly (Stars they're just like US they lay down the tracks in public restrooms!), she's playin the Candy Crush. GET THE TEA KETTLE, WOMAN. When I make my tea, I'm sprinting out my seat as soon as I see steam coming out, in anticipash of the noise.

In terms of other features, not really sure what I can comment on. It looks good, it holds 2.5 quarts (obviously, that is in the product description).

One star deduction because the plastic handle is too hot to hold (It's gettin hot in herre) and I need to use a dishtowel. Dishtowels are known receptacles for bacteria and non-soap hand washing.

Edit: on my electric stove (I moved) - the handle is no longer 2 hot 2 touch... now it is great. Did have the problem on my gas stove though.

The teal color is very pretty and it works well in my kitchen. Love the whiste, able to hear from another room. Worth the price.

I spent SO much time reading reviews and looking at kettles before buying this one. It's been a few months and I still love it! The whistle is loud enough to hear from other rooms, it has held up great, and it's super easy to use. I fill it up from the spout (with the whistle lifted open) instead of removing the cover under the handle. Handle doesn't get too hot to pour. Overall, really pleased with this!

I am very happy with this kettle, both for its style and functionality. The clean lines and stainless steel look great in the kitchen. It works well on the induction stove-top. Water heats quickly, the whistle tone is loud but not overbearing. Handle stays cool for pouring, too.
