Works well!

Wish the blade didn't stick up so high. It doesn't need to be as long as it is. Someone more crafty than me can probably snap it shorter. Other than that works well and does exactly what it's supposed to do.
Excellent Value

This is a really nice strap cutter for the money. It was very easy to set up and seems solidly built. I bought it to be a middle ground between my Australian style lace cutter and my bench mounted strap cutter, and for that it's excellent. Regarding some of the folks in the Q&A section stating that they haven't found replacement blades for it, I can confirm that both Stanley style utility blades and the injector type blades for safety skivers or lace cutters will work in this unit. It sure looks like snap-off style utility blades would work too although I haven't yet tried it. The blade is held into a slot with two allen screws, so as long as a particular blade fits the slot then the screws will hold it securely. There's really no need to overthink this, it's a simple, reliable tool that gets the job done.
Can't go wrong, cut your own straps from your leather sides.

It seems well made, and easy to use. Easy to adjust. I usually order my straps and belt blanks for leather working, but sometimes I need something custom, or just don't want to wait for something to get here. This fits the bill, and honestly straps aren't that hard to cut, nor are they cheap to order. One word of advice: start off with a STRAIGHT EDGE if you want to cut a straight strap. It makes a huge difference. Lay down the straight edge, trace, and cut with a razor knife. The strap or straps you cut after that should be straight, not wavy or crooked.

blades are too long be careful

They only gave this product a four because the blades are too long even at the widest setting they stick out the top or the bottom and will cut you if you are not careful other than that it works well
