Ordered this helmet and was delivered the same day - it was rated highly so I took a chance as I was welding in rocker panels on a 2000 Excursion and my current helmet wasn't working properly. Hands down my favorite mask now for welding. It is comfortable, easy to see my work, and best of all affordable. Only thing I had a problem with was easy to solve. I just dont move the switch from weld. For any reason, And I check it constantly. No one to blame there but myself. Thankfully it was 3 tacks before I noticed something was wrong. Like anything that involves electricity, hot metals, and flying objects. Attention to your equipment and situations is top saftey priority. Still dont plan to go back to a basic mask after using this.

I have used this hood a few times now and I really like it. I am a student in a welding class and I was getting tired of the cheap fixed shade hoods that they provide so I got this and man is it good.
I watched a lot of reviews on this hood and after doing my research I shelled out the $70. I can confidently say that It was well worth the money.
Flipping the shade up and down made it seem almost impossible to be accurate with my electrode placement but this helmet has allowed me to actually focus on trying to make and maintain a good arc instead of checking where the tip of my electrode was every five seconds.
If you are a beginner welder like me this helmet is a no brainer.

This is my second auto darkening hood . The more I use it the more I like it . The headgear leaves a bit for improvement in my opinion , but it's comfortable . The hood wants to drop to welding position when tipped up . So far I have used it to MIG , and Arc weld and it works well .. BH
