From an actual beginner, its a great starter kit

I haven't touched embroidery before this. I've only watched someone do another starter kit a little. The kit comes with a small booklet which, to me, shows well enough how the different stitches are done including: leaf stitch, straight stitch, back stitch, and french knots. The design is nice, but also simple enough that the experience was not stressful. Of course the most stressful thing about embroidery at this point for me is taking the threads apart. For those that don't know, each string you get in the kit can be separated into 6 smaller strings. The stitches will call for thicker or thinner, so you must pull them apart. This is the trickiest thing, but has nothing to do with this kit. Helps me work on my patience, though. :)

I made this for Mother's Day this year, my mom is a huge crafter and homemade gifts go a long way with her since she recognizes the time and thought put into it. Last year I gave her mini succulents with mini potters and she loved it so I decided this will be a super cute way to follow last years gift. Anyway, I used to do embroidery and cross stitch with my grandmother when I was little so this was a fun project that brought back memories and was a great way to keep myself occupied during this quarantine. I did need to relearn certain stitching but the videos made it a lot easier. The finished product is so cute and I'm excited to mail it out later today and continue to do more of these as cute gifts for others and for my own use. The instructions were easy to follow, the kit itself is adorable and comes with everything you'll need. I just loved it!

This is exactly what I wanted. I'm not actually a beginner, but I haven't sewed for years and wanted a kit to kind of ease me back into it and give me all the supplies in one place. It is super cute and coming together pretty well. However, the instructions are super simple--I was ok as I slowly remembered all the things I used to do, but I think it would have been pretty confusing if you had never done it before. They say they have youtube videos, which I'm sure would help, but a few more instructions would be good! I also found the pattern, with thick threads for much of it, to be kind of rough on my fingers. I need a thimble or something I guess! That being said, it is really beautiful and looks exactly like it does in the picture. I can't wait to finish it up and frame it for my office!

I have never done any embroidery before this, so it was my first introduction. I wish the instructions were better. I ended up going to YouTube to understand what I was doing, but after that it was great and included everything I needed. I would recommend it, but just know the instructions are lacking.

This was my first embroidery kit I purchased given what has happened with COVID, and I've now picked up a new embroidery hobby! I liked this kit a lot for the design, although I think that for the type of stitches you needed to learn for this one, it was a little difficult to begin with. I wasn't a huge fan of the instructions (it doesn't tell you how to place the fabric in the hoop, the stitching diagrams are confusing, etc) but you can honestly go on Youtube to check how to do these various stitches (french knot, satin/leaf stitch, back stitch, etc.) and look them up. I loved that this kit gave plenty of embroidery floss so you could mess up and it would still be ok to undo and restart. Highly recommend, although I would recommend this to a more intermediate person!
