Works well but beeps loudly

Makes a very loud beep when it reaches the oxygen level and keeps beeping. I can't figure out how to turn it off. I like the oxometer except for the beep.
Bought For The Color

I am a RN and am very familiar with these devices so I've used my share of pulse oxs. I fell in love with the color while looking for a pulse oximeter for personal use.
Personally, I mostly love the device color more than the actual product itself. Reading the screen is fairly easy to do as the numbers are large and labeled pretty well. However, if I move slightly while trying to read the device's screen, it had a strobe like effect on me which doesn't usually happen with me. I thought that was peculiar and very much an eye sore. It maybe the red lights on this particular device which are not friendly to my eyes because I've used pulse oxs with red indicator lights before and they never had this effect on me.
In regards to the accuracy of the readings, I am ALWAYS 100% in SpO2 for all pulse oximeters I've used at the doctor's office, on the job, and even my brother's portable device. I do not wear nail polish so my fingernail beds are always nude. However, with this pulse ox, I was reading 99% at the most with normal respirations. I could only get it to read 100% when I took consistently rapid deep breaths for 1 whole minute. Too much work to get to my normal baseline. Not to mention, the device readings on my pinky were even worse, leading me to believe this wouldn't give accurate readings to children and young adults either.
As for the overall device itself, it is sturdy enough material but the ergonomics of the contours feel a bit off, making it seem flimsy than other portable devices.
I'm glad it came on time and was brand new out of the box. But this product is just not for me.

I've purchased 3 different models in the last year.

All three were very good. but this one I like the most. It has a hinge that height adjusts for the finger size and it is easy to line up the laser to shine through the finger nail. Something that give me apparently more accurate readings. This model and a second model give me the same exact readings. I like that the digits face me and not upside down. I also like the look and feel of the plastic. It is more comfortable and easy to see on the end table or bed. This one is more medical while the other seems more athletic. The battery bay has the battery direction properly orientated if that makes sense to you.

I was really pleased that I received it the next day because I was experiencing some long Covid symptoms of being out of breath, and it really came in handy to monitor my O2 saturation levels. The current case is real handy. I can either wear it around my neck or on a belt loop.
