It took me 4 orders to find my size. I fit into every XXL jacket I've ever tried to wear with room to spare, but the XXL in this jacket was more like a Medium or Large. I tried 4X next and it was still too small. I jumped up to 6X, but that was too large. I landed on 5X and it fits great. This jacket is almost comically heavy. It's extremely thick leather and feels pretty bulky, but that's what you want for maximum protection on the road. It's very stiff, but I'm sure it will break in over time. The armor pockets at the elbows and shoulders fit my Phantom Tripleflex armor pads perfectly and I can barely tell they are there when wearing the jacket. The copper color is great, it's like a worn black/brown and goes well with both black and brown accessories (helmet, gloves, shoes). The concealed carry pocket is nice to have, but definitely not very safe with just the elastic strap. I'd suggest attaching a proper kydex holster with velcro if you plan on carrying that way. Overall it seems like a really nice jacket for the price and I'm looking forward to wearing it on more rides this spring.

Vest is outstanding but I do suggest buying one size larger than you usually wear. The reason is that since this had conceal carry pockets the zipper is about an inch inward on both sides making it tighter than usual when zipped up. Other than that I would definitely buy it again when this one wears out.

Very nice riding jacket! Love the color and the quality of the leather! This jacket has lots of pockets including two (one on each side) for concealed carry. I wanted a jacket that would protect me on the bike and also look good when I am off the bike. This jacket meets my requirements as I love the looks and the leather would provide good protection against road rash. This jacket does not have any CE armor so it's protection is limited to the strength of the leather, which works for me as the jacket is made for motorcycle enthusiasts and has the features I was looking for. The jacket comes with a zip out liner which is a good thing as this jacket is best for warm to cool riding (not hot or cold) as it has zippered vents front and back (limited effect as the vents are small). The jacket fits good as I ordered a large (I am 6' and 185lb) but the one complaint I would have is that in the riding position the sleeves are about an inch short for me. I have a 36" arm length so not unusual, and being motorcycle specific I am surprised this is even an issue. I like the jacket enough that I will overlook that issue and just wear gauntlet type gloves if I want to cover all of exposed skin at the wrist while riding. Looks good on and off the bike!

I noticed someone commented previously that they had received a different jacket that looked similar to the original; it had me weary of buying it but I pulled the trigger.

I did get the original jacket from First Manufacturing and couldn't be happier with it. It was heavier than expected but once on, the weight goes away. I rode today under overcast weather and 56 degrees Fahrenheit at higher than 70mph with only a tshirt and the jacket on. Needless to say I was perfectly warm.

A heavy sweater underneath will probably not fit me as the jacket fits true to size. However, a thin fleece hoodie underneath fits really well. I have not tried it with armor yet.

It's a really comfortable jacket right out of the box and doesn't need much breaking in.

The bottom button does not close for me while sitting on the bike (I do not need it to) but does close while standing. I must add I am fit and have an athletic build mid section.

I contemplated returning for a medium but the arm length is perfect for me on the small.

My measurements: 5'6" 150lbs 36inch chest. The chest area does fit a bit loose compared to waist but it works in my favor when I have the thin fleece hoodie and I'm in riding position.

Looking forward to more rides with this jacket! Do not hesitate and buy already!

I just got this jacket so I'm not reviewing how well it holds up. I am reviewing its out of the box fit as well as its break in fit. I wear an extra large in everything. XL always fits me perfectly. This jacket fits me perfectly. Yes, a brand new leather jacket with a lining is going to feel a bit snug to begin with, especially if you try and wear a flannel or a hoodie too. But that's new. This leather relaxes pretty quickly and starts to feel much more comfortable. Leather jackets (and vests) stretch over time from use, and wearing layers, and wind, and putting things in the pockets, and and and.

If you wear different sizes in different shirts and coats I have no advice for you. If you always wear a particular size like me, get that one. If you're heavy, you might look at a different style. This one is definitely a rather athletic cut

The leather is soft and supple right out of the box, and smells exactly like a leather jacket smells when new.

My only gripe so far is that there are TOO MANY POCKETS. I can't find things. I can't even feel some of them. The chest pockets (3 stacked) go pretty deep and it's a long reach if you drop something small in them. Don't forget which one you put your keys in. It'll be 15 minutes before you find them. I'm still discovering new pockets I didn't know were there. I'm half joking but seriously, I think they could drop the number of pockets by half and you'd still have too many.
