Takes awhile to figure it out but then it’s great
Mom of Two✓ Verified Purchase•January 22, 2024
I got this because the timer on my oven was so quiet I wouldn't hear it. The buttons and how you set the timers aren't super intuitive but not that hard either. Once you figure it out it is easy to use. It is very loud which is great but you can decrease the sound if you want. I like being able to have two timers on simultaneously
This dual timer is wonderful.

I have needed a stand alone timer for a long time but it is just one of those things you don't make a priority. I have a timer on my microwave and stove, but I am always messing it up. When I use either timer, I usually end up using the microwave or the oven and set it differently and disable the timer I was using, and in place, I would use the timer for what I was cooking at that time. I have done that more times than I'd like to admit, then I would not know how much time I actually had left for what I was cooking or baking in the first place. It was clear that I needed a timer that had the ability to set two different times on it, and I don't know why I kept putting that off. I was searching Amazon and I found this little beauty, which has the ability to be set for two different times, separate from the oven or microwave timer. So far it has been lifesaver and I have already saved myself a couple of potential situations that could have turned into timer fiascos, where it would have ended up wiping out the timer that I had set for a roast and for something I was baking. I never knew how much I needed this until I got it. It is easy to set, has a nice, big screen so you can easily see how much time is left, and it is magnetic, so I have it attached to the side of my fridge. It is tough and very well made and the magnets attach securely to the fridge. The ring in the timer could be a bit louder, so knowing that, you just need to make sure you don't wander too far away from it when you have something in the oven, or something you are timing, or make sure to carry the timer with you so that when it does go off you will be sure to hear it. Aside from that, it is very nice and well-made and durable and works very very well. I used it over the recent holidays, and a lot of times I had the need to have two timers going at the same time, and this dual timer served the purpose so well. I no longer have to guess how many minutes something might have left to cook. I am very pleased with it, I have no more timer fiascos and this is obviously something I should've purchased a long time ago.
Needed a timer with sound level adjustment and easy to read.

Three sound levels! The HIGH LEVEL is just what I need much of the time while carrying it in a belt pack while working out of doors. Dual timer comes in extremely handy.
Here is how to manage timer sequence without confusion: (The following sequence works perfectly as long as each timer is set same approximate time. If they differ always switch to the timer with shortest time left.)
[switch to #1...Set/Start #1...switch to #2...Set/Start #2...switch to #1...Stop/Set/Start #1...switch to #2...and so-on.] Note: [Set/Start] or [Stop/Set/Start] can be replaced with [Restart] or [Stop/Restart] if using the same time. When alarm sounds you press Stop/Start button. Automatically the timer is set for previous time. Can restart or reset as needed.
Of course if using different lengths of time always return the switch to the timer with the SHORTEST amount of time left- ready to hit the (alarm stop) Stop/Start button for the right timer when next alarm!
MIGHT SOUND COMPLICATED BUT IT IS NOT! It saves a lot of fumbling around with the unit when an alarm goes off! I also have a heads-up what the next alarm sound is for!!!
I actually bought two units for the occasion where I have more than two things going on. Using the above method works quite well as long as I balance the timing sequence and have each unit on different parts of my body. Setting timers say at 30 minutes each it is entirely conceivable to actually operate as many as 6 timers (3 units) simultaneously if follow the above sequence religiously!
Of course the clock with time and date (as long as I remember what day of the week it is) are quite handy when I do not have anything on me to tell time.
Forgot to mention that when I cannot get to "event" when alarm sounds the timer switches immediately to the "stop-watch" mode so I will know the exact time spent when I get there.
FYI: Limit for timer/stop-watch modes is 24 hours. Never use more than a couple hours myself...

A Great Timer, But ...

There are conflicting reviews on this timer suggesting that two different models are being discussed. The model in this review is the dual timer with a steel face on a black plastic body and a blue backlight, purchased in January, 2024.
Pros
The volume is settable to low, medium, high, and off. The low setting is not loud at all. A tiny round button on the back is pressed repeatedly to toggle between the volume settings.
The display backlight turns blue whenever any key is pressed. The timer display and controls are easy to read and understand.
The timer can be laid flat on a surface without sliding, has a stand to be upright on a flat surface, and has magnets to attach to a refrigerator door.
One timer display can be set to clock mode, which I have not used.
Cons
The buttons do not beep when pressed. They are soft and press in without any noise. There is no way to tell if they have made contact if you are not able to look at the display.

Functionality could be better

The Good
- Plenty loud enough and the volume can be adjusted
- Screen is a nice size, easy to read even from a distance
- Two timers is nice.
- Can display date and time when not used as a timer.
- Looks good!
The not so good
- It's easy to forget to change from one timer to the next when you want to stop or reset since they share common buttons.
- To change from timer to date/time you must set a tiny switch on the back - seems this could be automated easily to change to date/time when timer is inactive for some time.
- To reset a timer you must first select the timer (there are two) then press two buttons simultaneously, which takes two hands. When cooking this is a bit of a pain specially when you have food all over them. Better would be a single button that you press for a few moments to clear the display.
- The currently selected timer blinks and there seems no way to stop it, a minor annoyance.
