The color of the base is brown. The inside of the bath area is red. I was hoping the base was red to match my outdoor area decor. The bird bath is lightweight and I filled the base with sand for stability and it hasn't tipped over from our neighborhood squirrels and raccoon.

I am very happy with this birdbath. It is lightweight and easy to move around. It is also deep enough for a significant amount of water. From a distance, it looks like it is colored concrete. Worth the money.
