I've never tried sandbag training in my life, but with being stuck at home, combined with canceling my gym membership, I decided to give this type of training a try.

I bought the large bag (50 - 125) and tried a few barbel exercises on it. It is a hundred percent true that you have to subtract roughly 30% of your barbell weight when doing sandbag training; the different size bag and the shifting of the sand contribute to that reduction in weight. Having said that, sandbag training is at least on par, if not superior to barbell training (depending on your goals of course). Just a tip: you can work out solely with the filler bags, which is something I like to do.

The bag is rugged and big. It can take a lot of punishment. However, a bit of sand does leak from the inner bags. However, once I duct-taped the openings, the problem was solved.

Buy this bag if you are interested in sandbag training; it is nearly half the cost of its name brand counterparts.

Bag came very fast, arrived on Father's Day 2022 so I was free to get to set it up. Lucky it was 95° outside, I was able to dry some sand out and fill the inner liner bags. This 25-75 bag came with 2 inner liner bags for holding sand. One holds 30#'s max, and the other holds 50#'s, they both fit when fully filled making a total weight of 78#'s in my bag. I looked over all the bags in this price range and the reviews here on Amazon, and this looked like the best deal for my money.
After it was all set up (15min) I did a light pump deadlifts, curls, tri extensions, weighted squats, Briefcase lunges. All n all, I can stay fit anywhere I can take this bag. I'll use it while cooking breakfast for the kids in the morning. I've found that my Kids seeing fitness, encourages fitness in their lives.

PRO's
-Easier on your body than a barbell, plates, and kettle bells. Sand bags just feel like pillows compared to steel.
-easy weight system to keep around for those of us who choose to challenge gravity daily.
-bag is made from quality nylon, looks like same stuff plate-vests are made of 600D nylon+.
-Inner liner Bags are high quality, double hook&loop closure. When fully filled I tossed them around a bit outside the duffle bag, and slammed them on the truck bed, they did NOT explode sand. HELD UP WELL TO A INTENSE TRIAL.
-handles are made from seatbelt materials that seem fully capable of being used as handles and double as duffle bag reinforcement.
-Lots of handle positions, making this versatile for many different workout options.

Cons
-needs a hook&loop over the zipper, inside the bag, to give me piece of mind while I'm using the various handle positions.
-needs more handle options, at least one more, "wide grip barbell"
-inner liner sand bags are not a perfect fit and I found a towel in there can help keep the bags from shifting. I used old white tee shirts that we're gonna end up as garage rags.

My goal for this 50-125lb weight bag is for general fitness and to prepare for my next Tactical Games.

Right off the bat, this thing looks and feels sturdy. The double fold velcro closures on the 3 bags are STRONG! Even though I put a garden trash bag in each sand bag before filling them, I don't think they'd leak much, if at all. But at $3.50 for 50lb sack of sand, who cares?

I have no cons yet. We'll see how then seams, zippers, and handles hold up over time.

I may update my review if something significant changes.

UPDATE: June 2021 bought an additional bag because two is better than one.

I have taken the bag to the park several Saturdays, ran/walked a mile around the track, doing exercises along the way, dropping the bag, snatching it up, all is well. Nothing last forever, but this thing isn't showing any signs of giving up on me.

Bought the bag to incorporate into outdoor workout for "Spartan" race training. Out of the box, very high quality material, great handle placement. Two filler bags are also high quality material with super secure velcro closures. I used 1 70lb bag of "tube" traction sand. I put about 3/4 in the larger bag and the remaining in the smaller. The two bags fit perfectly into the carrier, not too tight or loose. After sealing the velcro ends of the filler bags, I additionally duct taped the ends of the filler bags, just as a back up (i'm anal), but NOT normally necessary per-se. The zipper appears high quality, both ends of zipper opening are re-enforced with added material to protect against ripping / stress on the zipper. I would have liked to have seen a velcro flap along the entire length of the zipper, but again anal, the entire bag is so well designed, fitted and constructed that after my first workout with it, i'm not concerned about any issues with the zipper. The 50 - 75lb bag is perfect weight for the all around training for the average to advanced intermediate athlete.

Online purchases leave you holding your breath when it comes to how well something is made. This bag is stitched well; I've got no worries I'll be slinging this thing around for a few years before worrying about it. The filler bags' Velcro is crazy strong (and doubled at the fold) - so I'm thinking I'll be good as far as leaking sand inside the bag. I'm quite happy that I 'spent up' a little because I've already spent more than I should have on these half-measure sandbags.

*only complaint so far is that both the 50lb and the 30lb filler bags couldn't fit simultaneously. It could have been that I over-filled it. With all the failed sandbags I've tried, I've all sizes and shapes of filler bags to make up for my mistake.
