This pump is life changing. When I saw there was a rechargable pump that I could carry around, I decided I had to get it. I already had an Ameda pump from my first child and was getting a Medela free from my insurance. However, I did not want to be tethered to an outlet all the time so I sprang for this little pump.

Good suction (better than my old Ameda)
LED screen has timer so you know how long you have been pumping
By switching tubing you can use parts from older Ameda models. I like to hook my Dr. Brown's bottles up and fill them directly
Can pump on the go, in the car, etc.
Cons:
Loud
The bottles it comes with are wide-mouth and extra parts are expensive (see note above about using parts you might already have)
I honestly can't say enough good about this pump. I walk around with it and tuck the little pump into my bra or waiatband to go totally hands free while I'm cleaning or taking care of kids. It's changed how I'm able to function while pumping. I recommended!!

I purchased this pump after seeing available and have been jealous of my sister's Spectra pump. My insurance only allowed the Ameda Finesse pump which was just okay as it did the job it was suppose to do. However, the pump is so old school with the turn dial and the use of actual batteries to make it portable. I used the Finesse exclusively for over a month and a half. After seeing the Mya on Amazon and doing what little research I can find online, I ordered the Mya and have loved it since. I didn't want to order a second set of flanges as I had two sets with the Finesse with the 21mm inserts and it works perfectly fine. I don't have any issues using the old flanges. Overall, I am pretty satisfied with the pump and love the size of it as it is small and compact. The only annoying thing about the pump is the battery. I charge it overnight and within minutes of using it during my first pump of the day, I already lose a bar on the battery. The battery icon is not accurate as it seems that the battery drains faster than what you would expect when it is fully charged. I've called Ameda regarding the issue and they are aware of it which is annoying since they won't be correcting the issue.

I was looking for a travel pump that I can easily bring to work and to use while traveling. The Ameda Mya is so easy to carry around that I've also thrown it in my purse when I go shopping or out to lunch. It's made such a difference as I don't need to race back home every 3 hours. It provides such confidence as I know I'll be able to get relief and pump when needed without looking at the clock or worrying about traffic! It's so small that it's very discreet and I feel like I could use it in the back of a car or on a plane if need be.
I used an Ameda pump in the hospital when I gave birth so was familiar with the name. Somehow, I feel that they have the same strength of that hospital pump in this smaller version. For such a small device, it really gets the job done quickly (but painlessly). You still have the ability to choose what suction strength is most comfortable for you.
As a new mom, i'm also very appreciative that the pump is compatible with other pump parts and bottles - makes things much easier for me.
Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this pump!

Freedom to pump anywhere

I am a second time mom, who struggled to breastfeed the first time around and became an exclusive pumper. I knew this time around I needed a pump that would give me the freedom to pump on the go if I need it. As it turned out, I became an exclusive pumper with my second baby who would not latch and this pump gave me the ability to pump every two hours around the clock without being tied to a chair and an outlet. This became an even bigger relief when I got mastitis and had to pump even more.
My one suggestion would be to make sure you buy the proper size flanges for your nipples and know that you may need two different sizes for your two different nipples (

Easy to use, battery life as expected, easy to clean. Very similar parts as the spectra, so it's a nice companion pump. I wish you could change the rate and strength separately like with the spectra. It's also not as strong. You have to be careful of blocked ducts. For me it is not a good replacement for my main pump. Great for travel and emergencies. If you are going to be in a car for a long trip I suggest getting a USB to 12v charger cord to recharge it as you drive.
