Marble run puzzle craft

We purchased this for our Grandson as part of his Christmas gifts. He loves challenges so this puzzle turned out to be a "fun filled" day for him. If you want to give your child or grandchild something out of the ordinary this would be a good gift.
A good challenge for an average hobbyist

Overall it is fairly easy to assemble if you have experience with bass or balsa wood. A lot of the very fine pieces broke. I wish the instructions clearly stated that there are extras given. Another problem with the instructions is that they are all pictures. No verbiage. But that seems to be the norm nowadays. Ounce built, it is a good conversational piece. People like to run it themselves. It was well worth the lightning deal, I would be so-so at full price unless it is for a gift. It will make a nice gift and I plan on buying another.
Engaging project

I put together a couple of these and loved the process enough that I have since bought a couple more. The instructions are clear and detailed and if you follow them closely the thing works very well at the end. There are extra pieces in the sheet in case a few break while getting them out or putting things together. Lots of interesting details to watch as they work.
I wish ROKR could have some sort of module to link multiple sets together to make a big super-machine.
The marbles occasionally jump the tracks but not as often as many other marble toysets I've assembled.

I will finish it, but probably not make another.

I ordered this to make with a 9 year-old friend. The all-diagram instructions were a little intimidating to me, but not to him! The problem we have encountered is there are so many pieces that are SOOOO tiny, he is getting frustrated because his fine motor skills don't match his enthusiasm. So, I bought him an easier, STEM type kit to make a smaller and less complex marble drop instead. He is happy with that one and now I am left to finish this BIG one over my school vacation...
Super cool, will take time

We bought this as a gift. He's still working on it, which is what we wanted. Something to take time and be a long activity:
