Key features

  • The drum head of Kmise banjolele made of polyester with great elasticity has a quick response. Equipped with superior Aquila String from Italy and high quality closed geared tuners, this banjolele can not only produce a bright and percussive tone but also be in an accurate intonation and stay in tune well.
  • Compared with other banjoleles, Kmise banjolele with action 3mm at the 12th fret is very comfortable for beginners to learn because players do not need to press too hard with such a low action. Preset with truss rod inside the neck, players can adjust the action with the wrench as needed. Smooth fretboard and neat fret wires also offer comfortable touch and protect hands from being scratched.
  • Multifunctional strap with an adjustable length from 45.6'' to 66.1'' can release the pressure of the banjolele and set hands free to play. The strap equips with two hooks can allow players not to drill a hole on the banjolele but fasten the hook on the metal frame and tie the leather belt on either headstock or strap lock.
  • Kmise banjolele has various playing methods. It can be in a traditional resonator style or an open back style by detaching its back. Traditional resonator style produces a mellower, softer sound while the open back style has a brighter sound. The package also comes with a piezo pickup that can connect the recording equipment for stage performance, which makes Kmise banjolele a super playable and multifunctional musical instrument.
  • Kmise provides 90-day warranty for the banjolele and lifetime string replacement. If there is any problem with Kmise banjolele, please feel free to contact us and we will reply to you within 24 hours and help you solve the problem ASAP.

I really like it.

I re-strung this with concert uke strings in CGDA SO I could use violin fingerings to pick out melodies. I found a chart of chords for tenor banjo (which is also strung CGDA) so now I can play chords and melody but with a banjo sound. I'm really enjoying it. Easier to finger than a tenor banjo for my 70-year-old hands. I have a soprano uke strung like a violin ( GDAE) which is easier to play than a mandolin. But I'm enjoying this little banjo because it had a Bluegrass sound, while a uke doesn't. It's pure fun.

Great beginer bango that i got for my husband for xmas. he has been wanting to learn and he loves this bango. he said he was researching them and this is the one he wanted. I read all reviews on so many of them and really just went by best review . I wasnt sure if 5 string or more or less strings and had to do a lot of googling since i know nothing about bangos. This was the jackpot according to my husband. thank god lol he loves it so much i had to share a review about it. he says its sturdy and plays well. everything you need to start out was there. i did read another review that suggested better strings so i did buy better strings and stuck them in with the rest of the things that came with it. and i have to say since december he has gotten good. he watches a guy on you tube that does lessons and it finally sounds like hes actually playing an actual song lol and its only been a month! and he never picked up a bango in his life!
Sounds good. Great deal

I am very happy with this banjolele. It sounds great even with the included strings. I bought a new set of strings to replace them but only needed to change one out because I broke it. The included items make this a really good deal. The case is decent with some padding and a pocket for carrying picks and stuff. The tuner works fine and the strap attaches easily to the pin on one end and one of the braces on the pot. Also locating the bridge with the included ruler was a piece of cake.
I will say the frets were rough on the outside of the neck. I saw this as a con on one of the online reviews. I thought it was sort of funny how Kmise dealt with that problem by including a little square of sand paper for you to smooth it out yourself! No big deal though, it didn't take much to smooth them out.
All in all I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to others
Amazing Value!

I've played guitar and ukulele for about 57 years, and of course have been through quite a few instruments-- enough to know a good one when I hold it and play it. This Kmise concert-scale banjo uke was my first venture into the "banjolele" world. It is very well put together, plays accurately, feels great, and sounds very nice! (The only modification I made was to remove the back cover, loosely stuff a couple of plastic bags (such as you'd get when buying things at Walgreen's or Target) in there, and then replace the back cover, which served to nicely tone down the otherwise loud voice of the instrument. I just don't think you could ask for more in an instrument-- and at this price it's an absolutely insane value! Highly recommended!
WORTH THE PRICE - A FIVE STAR Bargain!

Great instrument for the price. Worth Five Stars! The shipping took over 6 weeks and was incomplete - did not come with advertised bag and tuner. Had to contact Amazon - but response was good and timely. Got a bag within a reasonable time and the tuner about two weeks after the banjo was delivered. I was not that upset as it seemed that everyone was trying to make it right.

Had to laugh that I was sent an email to track the turner - but all the information was in Chinese and I could not figure it out. But the instrument works as well as could be expected. Putting the bridge on was easy to do. Just loosen the strings some and slid it sideways under then flip it so that it is upright. Then push the strings with your fingers until each one is cradled in the 4 groves on the bridge. Slide it so that it is 8 and half inches from the 12th fret and then tune the stings.

The first several times that you play it you will have to keep tuning it - but it seems to hold better now that time has gone by. I guess the strings need to be broken in... becasue it stays in tune much longer now. Over-all - a sensible buy for non-serious players. It sounds good enough. I would assume that those that coast 2-3 times more may have a better sound - but for my lifestyle and purposes this is good enough.
