I Heat with a Woodstove
Lafmore✓ Verified Purchase•August 6, 2023
Since I heat with wood, I need to be able to get the woodstove going quickly in the morning. I've used this brand of fatwood for several years and it is always dependable. You get a box of evenly cut, densely packed wood pieces that are rich with the sap so they light easily and burn hot to get larger firewood going without dealing with kindling or paper. Well worth it to me.
Best price. Easy start for fire in Wood Stoves, Fireplaces.

Best price. Easy start for fire in Wood Stoves, Fireplaces. Better price than you'll find in any store. Our second box purchased. Cheaper to buy in the summer....stock up.
As advertised.

Have ignited one to get an idea as to how they burn. It lit relatively quick and easy. I'm satisfied and will be purchasing more in the future.
Heres how big a ten pound box is

Not much else to say about the product, they're sticks of wood that burn easily and last longer than a normal untreated stick of similar size. This review is solely to show how big the 10lb box is because the pictures on the amazon ad are misleading and I was concerned about how much product I was actually getting. Turns out, its 10 pounds like they say. Well, 9lbs and 15.9oz including the cardboard box it comes.
Each stick is about 8-inches long by 1-inch wide and 1/2-inch thick. (although, that is an average as they're not perfectly uniform).
On average, 6 sticks weigh a fraction over 8 ounces. So basically a dozen per pound (as a rough estimate).
For you metric people thats, like, 10 sticks to 383grams. (if I did my conversion correct, but I might not have as I generally measure things by olympic size simming pools and american football fields)
The included pictures show the 10 pound box that I received, with a coffee pot and random hairbrush for scale. Hope this helps someone in their decision process.
For what its worth, I feel the price I paid was a good value for what you get.

Man, starting fires in the fire place was such a pain before. I know they teach fire starting in boy scouts but I guess I never got that merit badge. But these sticks make the process super easy. You do still need to pile on some kindling-sized pieces before going to the full-sized logs, but with these sticks the process is super easy and reliable. And having 120 sticks is fantastic. I use 3 for each fire so, what is that, a year's worth? Super convenient.
