Okay, the price is what sold me to try this saw ? This works better then the Sears saw I have and is less money. I will see how it holds up over the summer, I went with a different chain bar just so I can run chain's I already have. I did swap out the spark plug for a NGK plug, have had good luck with those. In all the saw out of the box only took 6 or 7 pulls and it was going. Looking forward to some firewood cutting this summer. Update two truck loads of wood and the JonCutter is going Great ! Have the 20" bar and chain, and it is cutting great. UPDATE 10/15/19 with all my fire wood cut for the winter, this JohnCutter did great this year. Cut 8 cord of fire wood and the JohnCutter is still running great.. Drained the fuel out of the saw for winter and cleaned it up and have it ready for next season...

For it's size has good power,have run 10 tanks of gas through it.One recommendation,tank vent doesn't move air fast enough poked holes in vent to help it start better when hot. Other than that works fine. I was a chain saw repairman for 19 years.

The Jon cutter 5800 is quite a bargain of a chainsaw. The fit and finish of the parts are real good. Arrived at my door in 9 working days from when I ordered it. I received the chainsaw packaged well and in good shape as a powerhead unit. I installed my own bar and chain ( 20inch 3/8 pitch full chisel) and proceeded to add pre mix fuel and bar oil. The saw started by the 4th pull with no problems, consistently 3 to 4 cold and 1 pull hot every time. So far, I have 2 tank fulls run time on it and it runs great. It has plenty of power cutting green wood up to 16 or 18 inches. Tested on dead dry wood up to 12 inches no problem. If you need a great firewood saw or one for property maintenance this one is a great machine. I'm impressed with it and will update and add more info in the future if needed. I just weighed the saw, full fuel and oil with a 20" solid bar,not a lite bar (archer) and it's 15.7lbs! Pretty good I think.

Have had it for 2 months still works well. Leaks oil when just sitting so I just empty the oil when I'm done with it for a long time
