This is the best little trimmer I've ever owned. It is very well made extremely easy to use and has it's own little case for storage. The best part is Made in USA. I could go on for days how much I love this tool but hey for the price buy your own and see what I'm talking about. I'm 75 with arthritis in my hands so if I can use this anyone can. Best trimmer ever.

I write a review every now and then, and this is one of those times..but first "shame on you". The images you use are deceptive however the description is accurate. You show a saw with a chain and two additional chains. Not the best mathematician however 1+2=3"¦ ( I do get the basics ).. clearly in the description you do state that you get a saw and 2 chains not 2 additional chains. So shame on me"¦.( need to work on my comprehension )"¦

The saw,,
The reason I chose the particular saw was the availability of replacement chains, it has fair reviews and it had a hard case..Upon arrival I verified the items according to the description not the image. All items received. Batteries charged taking about the same time for each, a good sign. So far battery run time has been very good. We will have to see how many cycles there are"¦I had some brush to clean up along with some winter fall. Cut anything 3/4"- 5" - 5.5" don't try and cut anything less you risk the possibility that it will just rip from your hand if you don't have a firm hold. A good pair of loppers works better anyway.
Didn't know if I'd like the fact that the was no internal mechanism for oiling the chain it had to be done manually..I like it. Much less mess.

The negative,
The chain needs to be tightened very often, say 4"-5" of cut"¦( could be operator error ) take the battery out, loosen the thumb screw, tighten the screw, put the battery back and you're ready to go. I also oil the chain during these minute or two breaks.
No big deal and shouldn't be a deal breaker.

The review,
It's a mini chain saw. It does what I expected, cut branches and tree limbs. My opinion is keep it well oiled, the chain tight and clean after use. It for the home light use a few times a year. Not for continuous use you're not gonna cut firewood with this thing so don't set yourself for disappointment..I'm not disappointed and I would purchase it again,,probably.

I have to be honest. I bought strictly on the reviews, but did not expect it to be that great! However, this little baby has taken over my backyard. We had strong winds and a few tornados to come through, and everyone had branches and limbs everywhere. I saw this little saw online and thought to give it a try, plus i needed it to remove a few trees that had started to grow up on my Dad's property. Well, I charged it fully, put on my gloves and goggles and what do you know... it took those trees out with little effort!!! Next the huge branches in my backyard. I started cutting away the branches and next thing I knew, all that was left was the larger branch that two friends came over and dragged to the curb!!! I get to cut low-hanging limbs in a breeze. I walk around my yard. daring anything to get in front of me... I am loaded with my little Taranzy and I will take it down!!! Thank you guys for making this saw for us girls... shhh guys use it too:)

This saw is small and light weight and is a very good tool for trimming and thinning. Mia in customer service is great!

I wrote an initial review with a one star rating because the batteries would not charge or hold a charge.
Within 12 hours I received an email from Taranzy Customer Service advising that my charger was an old model, and they would send me an updated charger. I received the new charger as promised, and it works as promised.
I am very pleased with the unit now that it works properly. It was ideal for me to clear through a tight "jungle" of large oleanders. The unit is small which was perfect to use in the tight confined space, and the cutting diameter was also perfect for some tough 4 inch cuts. The battery charge also lasted well into the job.
I would have given a 5 rating for the saw performance, but I was disappointed that the stated failure was an "old style battery." If this was a known defective condition, the company should have recalled the model or sent out a "Failure Notice" to distributors.
That being said, my thanks to the Service Rep I love my tiny saw - IT IS NOT A TOY!
