Great easy to use race set

I was anxious to buy this for my grandchild, for Christmas. It was all set up and the yellow car would not work at all. I know things like this sometimes happen. I contacted the seller and they responded they do not send single pieces. To send it back, so I did. I was hesitant to order another set, but I really wanted too. After a week or two I received a yellow car, but the set was already gone. I would highly recommend it and may order a new set for his birthday. It was unfortunate but I had already purchased him something else. It's a wonderful set for a 4 yr old!

I always loved slot car racing when I was a kid. I bought this one for my grandkids to play with while visiting. I showed some restraint and bought this age-appropriate, battery powered set instead of much nicer AC-powered sets. It's just OK. It's impossible to get all the track pieces completely secured; when you press one edge together, a gap will open on the other end of the turn. Go to the other turn, close a gap, another gap will open. After about 30 minutes total use, one of tracks started slowing down/starting/stopping. Again, it's not a hard-core race set, just a safe alternative for very young kids. I'm happy to have it but won't be buying expansion track pieces for it; I'll hold off until the kids are a little older and I can get a higher performing, AC-powered set.
