I purchased this for my husband, who used to carry an old fashion leather toiletry bag, but quickly realized, although it looks great and classic, it wasn't practical; it took up too much space in his bag. So I got this for him earlier this year for a backpacking trip, and he absolutely loved it! He loved all the compartments, and that is it conforms easier to smaller spaces. We brought it along on our last, long road trip, and we could easily and conveniently fit it into the car's glove compartment, which made it super easy to pull over and freshen up at any rest stop. I've been looking for a new travel toiletry bag for a while now. I'm always trying to figure out how to pack better and sometimes that takes having a particular type of suitcase, bag, container, etc.
I have a hanging toiletry bag currently, but it takes up a lot of space and I rarely pack it full. This has much better shape that makes it easier to utilize every bit of space especially when packing in a carry-on or hard shell suitcase.
I am taking it on an 8-day trip to the UK and have been able to fit the following:
"¢ Toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss
"¢ Deodorant stick
"¢ Shampoo, conditioner, and soap travel bottles
"¢ 4 days' worth of daily contacts
"¢ Comb and styling cream
"¢ A bag of bandages and alcohol wipes
"¢ A shaving kit consisting of a razor, cream, and a small bottle of aftershave
"¢ A small medical kit of bandages, ointment, and alcohol wipes
"¢ A travel sized medication/pill box
This filled out the dopp kit to about 90% fullness, with a little more space to spare.
I also like that this is machine washable, which is a major plus because after a while a bathroom bag can get so gross from being packed and placed in so many different bathrooms.
Over all, I'm very excited to actually use this on all of my upcoming trips.
