It has great sound quality and my kids loved the colors and alarm. However, tonight it just started emitting a random consistent tone. We use it daily, and plugged in consistently, so maybe that was why? Hoping it works again when it cools down - feeling a bit hot now. ☹ï¸

I originally reviewed that the SD card option does not work, but I figured out how to do it! It does need to be in an MP3 format, and can not be in another format (like from ITunes.)
You cannot control the order the songs are in but you can skip on the player.
If you set the sleep timer, it works, but it turns off the whole device so it does not show the time or stay lit up. Wish that it would so we could see the time still. You also cannot just press the power button to turn it back on "” it starts up for a split second and then just powers down again. You have to unplug it and plug it back in. This happens to all 3 of them.
We leave them on all the time so we can see the time. I just bought walk adaptors and use the cord that came with it (although not very long)
If you turn on Bluetooth mode, a voice always announces it loudly.
It has a g rest sound quality and can be very loud for such a little box's
The colors are just random and do not appear to coincide with music at all.

Cannot say enough about how well this little clock performs. My son who is 8 absolutely loves it. He uses it to set his own alarms for getting up for school, listening to his favorite songs which we put on via USB at night before bed. Uses the night light feature. Takes it with him when we go out of town. Battery lasts quite a long time sound quality is good. It is bright. Learning how to walk through the menus does take a bit of getting used to, but after about 3 or 4 times the programming it it's no longer a problem.

It was not that long ago "“ that is, depending on your age "“ that an alarm clock would consist of a clock with bells on the top. Now it comes with four pages of instructions and you can make a disco with just your alarm clock.
Kidding aside, this is indeed a versatile alarm clock made with attention to details. It even comes in a nice mash bag.
Besides alarm this clock can function as a Bluetooth speaker, a speaker phone or an auxiliary speaker. As a matter of fact, what I like the most about this alarm clock is the quality of this speaker: the sound is crisp and it can be surprisingly loud.
The alarm has a built-in sound that is neither obnoxious nor too suave to wake you up, but if you don't like it "“ no problem. You can substitute it for your favorite tune that you can put on "your" micro-SD card under a folder name "ALARM".
Of course, this is also a MP3 player that can play the MP3 files from your card. It will play all the files, regardless of the folder meaning even the one in the ALARM folder.
When it comes to the light function, they went gaga. You can vary intensity, colors and even set the light to the beat. I suppose that is for when you want to use your bedroom for other activities then slipping.
The clock has a rechargeable battery that is supposed to last about 8 HRS but I would not take a chance to miss my flight so plan to have it plugged in all the time. At least you can be sure that if there is a blackout you will catch your flight.

I use this as a custom white noise machine. I've owned a few white noise generators that are great but I always wanted something where I could make my own white noise MP3s and have more control over the sounds that are played. This has a great speaker and a straightforward way of adding files to it as well. I have white noise audio files that are 12 hours long and this handles them very well. I use the SanDisk Cruzer Fit USB drive with it which is tiny, incredibly fast and has a large enough capacity to hold multiple files with no problem.
This is pegged as an alarm clock, but I've never used it as such so I can't comment on that aspect. Personally if you want something to just play MP3s then the lights might be too much (they were for me at least). What I did was covered all of the light aspects with black electrical tape and now the light is minimally invasive, so I can adjust it in the dark without it being too bright.
One note, this has an AUX out, not an AUX in. I was initially frustrated because I thought I could plug wired headphones in and then quickly realized that it was actually an output and not an input. Still a great product.
