I, like most people, bought this as a gift. It is not the kind of thing you buy for yourself otherwise you would buy these items separate and get better quality for a more reasonable price. As a gift though, it is not bad. Quality is pretty good as a set, and it comes in a very nice magnetic box that has "gift appeal". I had to provide my own battery, but that was expected. It would have been better if it were cheaper, but when it comes to gifts, this is not the worst buy.

The knife was okay for price and can be sharpened if too dull for your needs. The temp device was broken but compass seemed to work. Flashlight seemed very bright.
