We use this to shoot a soccer ball, mainly for building power, but we also have put a goal outline for occasional placement shots. It has plenty of strength to withstand plenty of hard shots. And while it doesn't really give you a hard rebound like a tight net would, it does more or less roll it back out. I will say that repeated hard shots will eventually make the velcro across the bottom come undone, but it's not a huge deal
One thing to understand is this is not designed to be put up and left out in the elements. The thin vinyl where the fiber glass poles are inserted is thin and will wear quickly if left in the heat and sun. We leave the main stand (the pole across the bottom) out since that's the biggest pain to set up, break down, and store. After a couple of weeks some rust spots have started to appear, further strengthening the idea that no part of this is meant to be left out.

I needed to find something to keep the basketball from going in my neighbor's yard (has 3 big dogs) Once assembled it wasn't as high as I thought it was going to be. I was able to attach it to the fence to make it higher and so far no balls have gone over. Gave it 4 stars because I wish it had some support at the top of the net because it dips lower in the middle.

I have recently purchased 2 of these nets in just under a month. Was truly getting frustrated chasing lacrosse balls and my boys hitting my neighbors fence. The product is awesome. Easy to set up and take down and for the size you can't beat the price. I purchased the first for less than the I did the second, but the second still definitely cheaper than other products. Now my boys can go outside and just rip on goal worry free. The only draw back is that net does "dip" ever so slightly in the middle, but not enough to send back and ask for refund.
