Apple moving to a new style connector so if you buy new stuff you will definitely need one of these. I have a new Mac Book Pro so I had to get one to connect to my IMac and PC and iPhone. Bite the bullet and get one!

This little adapter literally saved the day! Years of important files on standard USB flashdrives were suddenly lost when my laptop had to be replaced. And, guess what? The new laptops only have the new USB C ports. The store sold me an external port that accepts the old form of USB without pointing out that I would need an adapter to connect it to my new computer. A quick search on Amazon and I found what I needed. The Nonda adapter came in just 2 days. The price is super reasonable. It was simple to install, required no setup and solved this problem for me.

I love this adapter. I was searching for something that would allow for me to store footage and photos for an upcoming trip to Japan. As I don't want to take my laptop. The only devices I will have with me are my Samsung Galaxy S8+, Kindle Paperwhite, and a 128GB USB 3.0 flash drive. I've tested the adapter already and was able to find the flash drive on the Android file system using the ES File Explorer app, and the data transfer speeds from phone to flash drive were surprisingly fast. This adapter made it possible. I'm impressed with it's quality and love the added feature of it's length of wire between the USB 3.0 port and USB-C port, as it is more resistant to shock, bumps, and unexpected physical contact than would be a dongle or a rigid port-to-port adapter.

Well it doesn't feel like an apple product and it's that harder plastic that seems like it may not last as long. I bought the exact one prior to this and it worked for a year so I definitely got mony money out of it. It did eventually start shorting out, but what cables you use a lot don't? That said this one works perfect so far for what I use it for. I have a 2005 Honda Pilot with no aux plug for the radio :( I've had a lot of trouble with the fm transmitters to transmit your phone to the radio. They seem to be getting better though than even just a couple years ago. Anyway, my pilot has a DVD player in the back. I don't think the actual disk reader works as I've never seen the screen turn on a movie. In all honestly I find it hard to watch a move in the back seats while driving anyway, so I'm not too concerned. Probably get some strange looks from other drivers if I did ;) Now that said... my probably once Working and nifty DVD player, has RCA and dc cigarette lighter inputs on the back of the center console "˜red and white' inputs for stereo audio (a yellow for video to hook up a gaming device or whatnot). Back passengers can have the dvd (or rca) audio in just the back, or throughout the whole car (controlled by me the driver). So anyway, I hooked up a rca from console, to 3.5mm make plug, into this device, then ran an anker (woven) lightning charger from that back cigarette lighter output into the device also. Now all I do it plug it's lightning plug into my phone, pop on the aux mode on stereo and BAM, I'm not only charging my phone or iPad through the cable but also playing the audio in stereo throughout my car! Weeeeeeee :) now sure it has a slight electronic buzz which is not nearly as bad as the format plug that was the same bit from a different company but when it actually playing audio it's unnoticeable and or actually gone. I think it's when it's just in idle. So yeah for $5-10 whatever I paid I'm VERY happy! I could buy three of these or more for the price of one apple one and I'm positive they would out last the Apple one. One bs one now way but 4 of these vs an apple for the sake price and these will last longer hands down. Now it's not like they are wireless so it's instant connection and reallyy no benefit to the Apple one vs this one. So I'm conclusion it's not Apple so feels a little more cheap, it's also not apple amd is much much more cheap lol. The prevent it feels cheaper is not relevant to the cost differences. 30% cheaper feeling, 80% cheaper price. Sold. It does its job, never get a device not comparable error which would be more than likely due to the charger plug anyway. Oh don't skimp on your charging cable so you don't have that issue. Even if this breaks you still have your charging plug. If you can afford it for for a solid $15-20 6 footer (2 meters-ish) plug. You'll be happy later. I actually get only 10 feet cables now. 3 (meter ones) for you metric buddies of ours. Anyway don't know what to say besides how it's worked for me and that it does in fact work perfectly. If you're using it for something that's important that it does in fact need to be reliable I'd say get two and store one near that one. Oh and get the blinkist app! You get one FREE book a day. I've never paid for it (I'm going to soon) and I've listened to like 50. It's fantastic what you can learn on a day. You can easily listen to 3 book summaries in a day so essentially get the meat of the knowledge of 3 books A DAY! Lives too short to slack it. Have fun and learn and teach what you've learned. Don't be stingy with your knowledge. I mostly use that dodad in my car for audiobooks. I know I'm lame I hear it from everyone. But I'm sorry it's a blast! It's like watching a movie everywhere you go. I don't mean blinkist I mean I listens to audible 99% of the time. They have their cracks and free books a month but you get so man sales it's crazy. I bought a 9 book series on a huge sale a really good series too for $45! Sounds like a lot? Well that's like 250 HOURS of entertainment. Not minutes. R t hats .18¢ an hr lol. I'm not mad. Plus you can return ANY book for ANY reason. So it's kinda like Netflix where you don't abuse it but your one credit a month can easily be two and or you can stress free try a book. If you don't like it exchange it back. Even if you listen all the way through and just have a bad taste in your mouth or didn't really love it. Get another one. The fact of the matter is you can only "˜keep' one in the long run so it's not like you get to keep more and that's what matters to them. Anyway sorry about the rant but that's why I bought this thing and I'm happy it worked and I hope this inspires even one person. If ONE person tries blinkist and learns one thing or gets audible and laughs or gets excited just ONE time, all of this typing finger pain was worth it :)
By the way listening the the Red Rising series right now which is like an adult hunger games and Harry Potter and idk Star Wars without the aliens I guess? Not sure it's great though!

Life's short guys, we can't just work and be sheep. There's always ways to learn more and enjoy more. You can pop on one in the shower and on a commute and on the toilet lol. You can knock out 900 incredible books/blinkist summaries a year!
