Budget bow for beginners, A+

Saw several reviews on these Black Hunter Chinese bows, and for ~$100 the fit, finish and function of this bow is impressive. I got this one (GLURAK, what an Effing name) in 45 lb and another (Orbit) in 35 lbs, and while slightly different, both seem well made. I do not see, yet, any of the quality issues some folk's mention.
Very impressed

I have been shooting compound bows for 16 years so already have archery experience. I decided to try to ad traditional to my experience but not break the bank got this bow after plenty of research. Got to say I am very impressed right out of the box threw this thing together super easy stringing with the step through method. Note string won't come twisted so I added about 5 to 6 twists in the string before stringing which automatically gave me a 7 and 3/8 brace height which I'm happy with right out of the box super straight limbs and in the yard shooting arrows after tying on a knock point bow shoots very well with someone with no traditional experience I'm very pleased and impressed with the shoot ability right out of the box
Assemble, grab the right spine, shoot a bull's eye.

By far the best "amazon" bow I have seen reviews of, gave it a go because of the review, and truly enjoyed.
It shoots where it should, the poundage seems correct (just feel, did not measure), came with a string as it should. Had the calf hair to install as it should.
It's very beginner friendly, In fact, it's the one I bring to the range to pass on to friends with less or no experience at all.
Usually, they hit the target enough that they "think" they can shoot.
Naturally, passing from this EXTREMELY FORGIVING bow where your form is basically an afterthought, to something else, does make for a harsh transition. Git Good, son.

For $97, it is a very good deal. ...if you have a garage. I do, and I expected some issues, which I am working on. The riser bolts are 13 mm shorter than the riser insert, so I bought some longer bolts. Then I thought better of it, and cut the bolt heads off, and drilled / tapped some knurled solid brass Hob. Lob. drawer pulls ( housewares 50% off this week) and made it a manual takedown. Honestly I would have done it anyway. BTW, the bolts are M8 by 1.25 and NO, Sam Sage bolts don't fit. For a beginner learning to keep the arrow on the shelf, good luck. The shelf slopes downward, and there is a long slant downwards away from the riser. I'll be doing surgery on it. Be careful when you string, that your string is seated, it likes to slide outwards....surgery. The good.....beautiful limbs, very good fit and finish. Beautiful bow. I bought 30 lb limbs. It is 30.27 lbs ( average of 10 measures at 7 1/2" brace height). Fast shipping. I will be ordering more limbs , once I finish the riser.
Amazing value and performance

I'm loving my #40 BH Longbow. Only complaints are the packaging was junk and I think my bow may have been previously returned. Some slight cosmetic blend on limbs. I was too excited for it to arrive and start shooting it to worry about a return/exchange and I'm happy with the bow so far. Two thumbs up.
