Nice shorts but not long and leg ends not great grip for skinny legs

I have been agonizing over finding some bike shorts that reach to my knees. This were touted as being "long" but they are no longer than my old shorts. They may be long for a shorter person but I am 6' tall (not very tall) and they are not long for me. Admittedly, I am a bean pole with skinny legs, so I bought the medium size to fit my waste. Maybe the large would be longer, but would not fit me. Also, the leg grip has some fancy thing that is not the usual silicon no-ride-up grip. It is more comfortable than silicon, but for skinny legs it does not work - hardly touches my legs.
Pocket in the legs are fantastic. I hope some day I can find long shorts with a silicon grip and pockets :-)

The padding is not the same as the bibs... Bib padding is better. Also, the shorts run small. I returned and purchased a size up. I love all the pockets.

the sizing was great for me 6'3" 220lbs with the XL but I will be returning them without getting on the bike. I thought at the 57$ price point the "italian" chamois would be more like a chamois on a name brand short. but this the usual super thick spongy material that I now expect from these manufacturers. If you are a weekend rider looking for some extra padding these might be just right. I prefer a "chamois" that will reduce friction and chaffing as apposed to create it as these types tend to do after 20 miles or so.
The shorts fit.
