Running with 2 8tb drives and using Link Aggregation makes this rock! All the apps available also is a BIG plus. Mind you, the apps aren't as fast as you would have if they were in a native Linux environment (like Home Assistant) but they're still great to have available.

Added extra RAM - that wasn't too difficult. Adding the drives was SUPER easy. And set up was a breeze. Once the physical aspects of it were configured, it was VERY simple to connect/configure.

This has replaced my aging NAS and I feel this will leave me with plenty of room to grow for many years. Very happy with my purchase!

AS5202T 2 bay NAS by ASUS
This budget range NAS has the guts of a high end storage device. With Link Aggregation, 2.5Gbs network, It has more traffic speed than the others in this price point. The Asus operating system onboard has plenty of apps to install for multimedia network serving. It also has a connection that can USB link to my UPS to respond to power failures, which was very easy to set up. The 2 bays are ideal for the smaller storage user, and there is the option of Asus add-on storage that can increase the hard drive count as needed with additional drive boxes.
I did upgrade the RAM at purchase from 4 to 16GB. This is not supported by Asus, but does indeed work in my NAS. This may or may not improve my box's processing speed, but I felt it was worth the money to have.
I use this NAS to stream from my HD Homerun live tv device, and my DVD collection to my Shield TV and other smart tvs with Plex, in addition to its stated purpose of network storage of data, specifically backups of connected computers.
One downside is that some of the Apps are still in early maturity, and I have trouble getting some DVD's to successfully rip to the software. This is not specific to the Asustor NAS, just an fyi for anyone interested in this application of the NAS.
The operating system is smartphone style app driven and easy to navigate.
The Synology community does have a more mature app environment with better support. But the Asustor AS5202T can run circles around the entry level Synology NAS at this price point.

Received a couple of days earlier which was great. However, when I opened the box, the NAS was missing the two toolless caddies needed to house my hard drives! I've reached out to Asustor and hope that they will be able to resolve this issue.

Update (11-13-21): Service from A+NAS was great about helping me out by sending me the tool less caddies at no cost. That was top notch service and really appreciated. Asustor, however, needs to do a better job of quality control.
As for the NAS itself, after receiving the needed parts and the installation and setting up / configuring which was relatively easy, unlike older Synology NASes that I've worked with, it works great. The product itself is also easy to use. The UI is very easy to work with. So I change my rating from a 1 to a 4. Definitely recommended.

The primary reason for this purchase is back up my music collection. But wait! You can host your own website. Install an app and it becomes a server. Install a storefront etc. I'm still learning it all. They also have ASUSTOR online University. Pick a function or subject take the class and pass the test. Your ready to go. I did upgrade the memory from 2GB to 8GB I recommend it.

The Asustor AS5202T is an excellent choice for a low cost high feature NAS. It has specs of units that cost much more. The dual port fast LAN and upgradable ram make it especially note worthy. The available apps and add-ons allow you to tweak it as you need on your PC and mobile phone. You can access your files whenever and wherever you need them. This is a definite thumbs up.
