WARNING: DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM !!! It is a cheaply built device made in China. It worked fine for exactly 26 days and then the lights suddenly started going erratic, then shut off completely. I am going to try to get this item returned for a refund, but I'm guessing that there is poor customer service (if any).

Actually I emailed the company through Amazon. They answered the same day and agreed to ship out a new unit. So I'm pretty happy with customer service. Hopefully the new light will last a lot longer than the last one.

Edit: I had originally rated it 1 star because the original light broke after just 1-2 months. After the light stop, I was about to discard it, but it suddenly occurred to me that the problem might be the USB power adaptor. I hooked up the light to an Apple 5W power adaptor and the lights started working again. Obviously the problem was the USB power adaptor. The company should do itself a favor and use another manufacturer for its USB power adaptor. I changed the rating to 4 stars from 1 star after several emails from the company asking me to remove the post. The plants are indeed really thriving with the light, so 5 stars for that. However, I deducted 1 star because of the aggravation of having to troubleshoot and figure out what was ultimately wrong with the light.

From the moment I took this out of the packaging I knew I would like it.

The Light: The product is very sturdy. The clip is a thick metal that clips steadily onto my windowsill. I had to use two hands to pinch it and clip it to the sill because it's so strong. My sill is about 1" thick and it works great for this, but it could also attach to sills smaller than mine or even slightly thicker. The three wands that hold the lights are also made of metal and are very strong but can be bent any direction to point to your plants. I have two facing one way, and one facing the other. The light is really strong and reaches faintly to either side of my window sill which is probably three feet in both directions. There is a timer that keeps the light on for 3, 6, or 12 hours, and it will automatically turn it on at that time every day, you don't need to do anything. You can also dim the lights up or down several notches depending on what your plants need. And, you can adjust it so that you see just blue, just red, or both red and blue lights. The construction is great, I'm really pleased and have already gotten compliments asking where I found this light.

The effectiveness: I have both the red and blue lights on (blue is for chlorophyll production, red is for flowering production) right now. I have a north facing window and I live in a forest so I have no natural light coming in at all at any point during the day. That's why I bought this light. I can't say I notice a difference yet (I am only on Day 4 so haven't seen any new flowering etc.) but they are definitely looking happy. I have succulents, orchids, desert plants, and regular indoor plants like pathos and spider plants. Seems to keep everyone happy, but again no real huge changes on Day 4. I can be patient!

Customer service: I have not needed to send the seller any messages, but they did reach out to me before the product arrived letting me know who to contact if I needed anything. This is a nice personal touch I always appreciate.

The light works as it should. it is nice and bright so you are getting a good amount of lumens for a very low price. The modes allow you to reduce and increase brightness as well as switch from all blue to all red and then to both colors simultaneously in case you want to use them to supplement a specific wavelength into your existing setup which is what I used them for in conjunction with more powerful LEDs from the top. There is also a 3/6/12 hour timer which brings me to my only negative which is that the device has no memory so if the cable is unplugged it will reset itself w and the timer as well so for my current space it was at first a bit annoying because I run all my light off 1 timer and there are no other plugs so I had to run an extension cable and run this light on its own timer for 12 hours and then run my other lights on their own separate timer otherwise I would have had to go and remember every morning to turn the lights on, adjust brightness and switch from only blue, the default 1sty on setting to the multi-color light. However, this didn't really make the light any worse because i consider it an awesome deal to the pint where a couple or just 1 flaw doesn't really matter. Competitors are charging 25-30 for the same light or worse so the price is a great factor in why I choose to try it. Anyway, Have a few smaller plants in the winter or growing something bigger, these guys are great and can help you move the light around to get it exactly where you need it !!!
