I loved the first batch I got. The bag was huge and full. The moss was a dark color and dried. I ordered more when it got low. The new batch came in a different bag. I saw that the company mentioned that the packaging was different but that was fine. What was different was the moss itself. A completely different color and texture. See the pics. The batch is a light color and very soft. It doesn't expand like the dried one. I'm a little confused as to why. I haven't tried the new batch yet so I'll give an update after I make and use it
8/11/21 Update: Ok so ive used the new batch. I dont feel the same effect as i did with the first one. I wont be buying it again. I want the first dark colored dry one they sent before. I dont even understand why its TOTALLY different. I emailed them and got no response.

9/23/21. Ok so I think the 2nd bad review wasn't warranted. After careful review I see that they offer two different kinds of sea moss. They dry kind and I guess the softer kind as I pictured. So I reordered it and clicked on the dry one and I got what I wanted. It's a huge bag for a great price. I'm very satisfied. I just wish they would've responded to my email so I would've known better.

Got this and the package was absolutely stuffed with sea moss. When I opened it, it smelled just like international sea water. That water can sometimes have a smell similar to salty pool water so I can understand why some people think its smells of chlorine. Anyway, day one I soaked it in TAP WATER and it did absolutely NOTHING except make the water murky & sandy. At this point it was still hard and dry. Day two, I poured tap water out and soaked it in PURIFIED WATER for 24 hours. It almost completely broke down except for a few of the bigger pieces. The water was slimy and slightly thicker. From there I blended. The pics are my finished product. I will buy again!

Yes, my packaging WAS CLEAR. And the sea moss did absolutely gel, even though this is only my first time making it. Follow a few simple instructions to make it into a gel. 1.) take a SMALL AMOUNT, place in a bowl, and wash thoroughly 2.) Let it sit in water for between 4 to 24 hours... I did about 24 hours, and I changed the water about every six hours or so. 3.) Sea moss is now much lighter in color, has a slippery feel, and has expanded substantially. 4.) Place sea moss in a blender, add just enough water to ALMOST cover the sea moss, and blend for about a minute. That's all I did, and it came out of the blender as an off-white colored gel. I put about two tablespoons of the gel into my vegetable drink, stirred it with the spoon (it mixed EXTREMELY WELL - no lumps or clumps), and drank it. The gel itself has almost no taste whatsoever. Again, this was my first time using this product and making it into a gel, and it came out GREAT. Excellent product, I will DEFINITELY BUY THIS AGAIN AND AGAIN.

I was surprised at how much sea moss gel this little bag makes. I made 12 -4 oz mason jars with a little more than half the bag. I was paying someone $20 for an 8 oz jar of gel prior to making my own. This is my second batch of seamoss gel I'm making(as my last jar is almost empty) using this same 16 oz bag. I triple rinse/wash with spring water then soak overnight in purified water (enough water to cover all the seamoss and then blend it with my nutribullet for ultimate smoothness. I take 1 tsp raw gel every morning and drink a whole bottle of water right behind it. I am so glad I stumbled across this seamoss. Theres no taste and I feel absolutely amazing.
