I use this a bag for a 'standard sized' yoga mat, but it has enough room to handle either an extra long or thicker mat. The canvas fabric has a good feel. I like the full length zipper which makes it easy to put in or take out the mat. The inside of the bag is lined with a smooth black nylon fabric which I didn't expect . . . especially for the price. I also like the two zippered pockets that can hold my phone, keys, etc.

I've used this bag since January with my basic Gaiam May and liked it a lot. The evergreen color is pretty and the two pockets were helpful for carrying mat cleaner spray + cleaning cloth and in the other pocket my phone and keys. I bought manduka pro mat about 2 months ago and it's 1 inch too wide I think to fit in this bag. I made it work but with increasing difficulty until the zipper finally broke trying to cram it in after my last class. Not sure if this brand carries a larger size of this mat, if so I would buy it in a heartbeat. Liked using this one while it lasted.
