We are new to Samsung TVs, having had LG TVs for the last several years. We liked the LG TVs just fine, no complaints. But the picture quality on this new Samsung just blows away our 2 year old LG. Perhaps newer tech is that much better, not sure.

We are also shocked by the sound quality of the TV and the bass response in particular. I have no idea how they can get such good bass out of a TV that thin, but it is very very good. Its possible, I suppose, that the cavity in the wall behind the TV (see picture) is resonant in the bass frequencies which would explain the apparent response.... not sure.

The best feature of the TV, however, is the fact the electronics are remote, and the thing truly looks like a piece of art, albeit with a modern looking frame. We opted to add the white bezel, and the TV blends in very well with the wall and surrounding furniture. It really becomes a piece of decor when in art mode. We already bought a second one for our Master bedroom, and I'm dreading hanging the "old", thick, black bezel LG in the play room... it will look so ugly by comparison.

I've had this tv for 2 years and have not once had an issue with it so far. It's my favorite home purchase aside automatic dog door. I've created my own art work and put it on the screen. I've also bought artwork from other artists and put it on the screen. I came to buy a smaller one for my bedroom and saw all the negative reviews for it and can't understand why there were any bad reviews. If you're some one who loves pretty Home esthetics then this is the TV for you. It's expensive but honestly worth every penny. I absolutely love it and don't want any other TV. As a lover of art this TV is amazing.

Things I like:
1. The ability to mount flush against the wall. The mount is simple, well-executed and very easy to mount the TV.
2. Customizable frame. Having different colors of frame to match the decor of the room. There is some room for improvement though. Hopefully they'll come up with other more decorative frames than the standard rectangular ones as they would look more realistically like artwork frames.
3. Art work mode is great for when you're not watching TV

Things that need to change:
4. Be aware that in order to power or use this TV you need to connect it to the "one connect" box. They market it as a selling point for having "only one wire" but for a supposed "smart TV" it's not a great idea. The way it is now, you also need to find a place to hide the one connect box then figure out a way to get the wire from the TV to the one connect box. That defeats the purpose. In this day and age of apps all I needed was a power cord for the Tv and then I can use apps on the TV for most of my entertainment. My cable company even has an app that I use! It would have been easy to add just one USB and one HDMI on the TV itself without making it bulky. Then have the one connect box for those who need extra. That's the biggest disappointment with this TV. So be aware of it and plan for it when you're buying. Otherwise great idea.
2. For what you get I think price should be cheaper. I hope other manufacturers come up with the flush mount and frame options to drive down the price.

Samsung markets this such that you think you are getting the easy-to-install color frames, BUT you are not. "Sold separately" AND to dampen spirits further they dont stock well. You have to order on samsung.com and they direct you to certified dealers, where I was presented with 2 to "pre-order", meaning they aren't even ready yet ? or a 3rd allows you to place order with a delivery time of 2-4 weeks as of this writing. Not cool Samsung, not cool.

You are also led to believe that it has 100s of art to choose from......at a price. It comes with 20, 10 each for 2 genres, nice but pretty weak effort wise....they stick you with a 3.99/mo subscription fee. Also not cool Samsung. My cable tech who visited my house to help set up the 4K infrastructure reminded me his cable service (xfinity) has screensavers, high def and indeed enabled those. Samsung might want to reconsider something there.

Once you get over these 2 blows, it is a beautiful TV, great TV mount, yes flush w wall, great design, remote, picture quality awesome, recommend everyone ensure you have 4K cable box, 4K HDMI..line up your data chain to get the full ROI of this 4K TV.

My wife did not want a TV hanging in our living room and this was a great compromise. Wasn't too difficult to mount and looks great in "picture" mode - though chances are you would never mistake this as actual painting. The built in apps add enough flexibility to use without an additional add-on like a FireStick or AppleTV. Sound is OK for a flat TV, but really need a soundbar to amp it up (really what flat TV has great sound?). I love the umbilical cord and box that has a TON of HDMI inputs. I think all TVs should have this feature. Makes connecting into it so much easier than on the TV itself (I have a normal flat-panel in the den and its a PITA to feed the HDMI through the wall and connect anything new). The remote was OK - could withstand the removal of the "hot" buttons (Hulu, Netflix, Etc) - if you are not a subscriber they are useless and they get hit accidentally a lot. My dog took care of this and ate the remote. The replacement once I bought didn't have the button - yay! Also, the voice assistant (Bixby) - makes Siri seem useful - I actually can't believe there is a voice assistant worse than Siri, but Samsung nailed it. So 5 stars for being a wife friendly, flat panel, large-ish TV. 3 stars for sound and remote. No stars for Voice assistant. I'm still at 5 stars overall b/c the sound, remote and voice assistant were creature comforts that are "nice to haves", but not why I purchased the TV in the first place.
