I guess this is more for if you have the window open because to me it traps heat. Yes it provides shade but it got so hot so fast. It's maybe a half an inch too short for my window but it stays on even going 90 mph.
This is a breathable mesh that allows good ventilation but keeps bugs out.

The magnets seem strong enough to keep this in place while parked in medium winds. The magnets tend to slide together and overlap in their sleeves. They could have prevented this with a couple of stitches between each magnet. No biggie they can be separated easily and I would purchase this again.
Please next time have Your girlfriend sew a stitch between each magnet. I would gladly pay another dollar.

Fits on 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Limited, good quality

I bought this sunroof shade so I can go camping with my kids in my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Limited minivan and still have some ventilation. It just barely fits over the Pacifica's sunroof, but works best if the sunroof is not quite all the way open. This is because there is more glass, not metal under the long edge farthest from the hood and the sunroof shade has to stick to some metal under the glass on that edge.
The magnets stick to the roof reasonably well, and for cars that have metal all the way around I imagine it'd stay stuck even when it's a bit breezy, but I'd be worried about it blowing away in moderately windy conditions, especially on my van where it can only stick to three sides.
It allows adequate ventilation, but also blocks out a good amount if sun too. It folds and rolls up very small, and even comes with a small case. Definitely measure your sunroof first, but I recommend this.
