Bought this really more for safety riding in traffic in the city. It fit over my large/xl helmet with a little room to spare. The reflective strips really work well at night. The unforeseen bonus was it keeps my head warm during cold winter rides. Granted I wear a balaclava but the cold air flowing through the vents eventually makes my head cold. So far I've ridden at 36ish degrees and my head feels nice and toasty. Great value when you factor in the price. Now, just gotta wait until spring to see if it's waterproof, or I guess I can just run some water over it from a faucet.

This is easy to put on my Bell helmet and is doing the job I wanted it for: keeping the gnats that are all over here in June from getting in my helmet. It does seem to allow for air flow. The only problem I have with it is that the elastic in the front digs into my forehead. I will probably end up taping it to the front of my helmet with some painters tape to keep it from touching my face. Otherwise, I am very happy with the purchase.

This doesn't have stretchy material, but the cord around the edge is elastic so that they go on and off the helmet easily enough. Not just for the rain, these also keep your head warmer when it's cool by blocking the vents, but still leaving you a little ventilation under the helmet.

1st time I had a chance to use it while riding in the rain, the clasp broke. Only had 30 days to return to Amazon, but it has been 60. Very disappointing.
