Great travel bag. Durable. Has straps to keep it tight and small. I have used many other travel bags but the perks for this one are better than all others. Comfortable!

If you are on a budget, this would be a great backpack to consider.

I took it on a 16 day European trip-- I was able to pack my clothes to deal the summer and fall climates and did laundry only once. Straps are well padded and I was able to use it as a carry-on all the airlines with no issues. For Ryanair airlines, I just purchased the Priority option because it averaged only $12 per flight.

The compartments are spacious and I was able to carry a lot. Keep in mind though, if you pack it to its max (which I did) it can become very bulky and heavy. The external pockets are great for your smaller items for quick access. And the handles on the side and top of the bag makes it very convenient. Experienced no quality issues with this bag-- every held up perfectly with no rips or failed zippers even with the bag being filled to the brim. Not to mention the great minimalist design-- the black one doesn't shout their logo nor does look it flashy.

My complaints about this bag:
1. it does not come with a hip belt. When you fill this bag to it's max capacity, it can put a lot of strain on your shoulders if its on your back for over 20 minutes. I find myself having to put it down and rest for a bit before continuing to walk further. But if you are really walking too much (ex. taking transport directly to your destination), it wouldn't be an issue. But for the price point of this bag, I do not expect a quality hip belt to distribute weight.

2. The laptop compartment is in the front and not in the back. A laptop can get heavy and it would be a better weight balance for it to be on the back. If you will not be bringing a laptop, then this wouldn't really matter.

3. The black color picks up dust and blemishes easier.

Overall this is a solid bag for a great price compared to similar bags on Amazon-- can't really beat the price. Just don't pack it to the max capacity if you expect to carry it for over 20 minutes. I highly recommend it for all the budget conscience shoppers.

Picked this up before I had to travel for an entire week for work. I am very glad I went with this particular bag for many reasons PERSONALLY. A backpack needs to suit what you need so take that with a grain of salt.

PROS:
* Very affordable

*VERY spacious. You can fit A LOT of clothes and things inside the main chamber .

*A lot of compartments. They thought of everything, there are compartments, compartments inside other compartments. Great way to organize everything you have

* Bottle holder on the side! - A lot of companies don't get how important this is for travelers. When you get on a plane and you're holding your cup of coffee in one hand and your carry on in the other... what do you do with your cup once you get to your seat?? This allows you to put your cup on the side, put your carry on in the overhead bin and then take a seat with your cup intact! This for me is MUST have in travel backpacks

*Light and sleek - It doesn't even look like you have a lot of stuff in it,

* There is a carry on attachment too that was super Helpful, so I could put the backpack on the handle of my carry on and have it as one unit (I know most do come with these nowadays but my last backpack did not)

CONS:
* The only thing I hated was the laptop slot, It goes in the first slot. The issue is that if you have many items to put in the laptop side such as other monitors, book readers, tablets, etc...they will fit very weird since the backpack bulges to the front. Also, it makes it much harder to take out at the airport TSA line, since everything will bulge forward, it will make your laptop fit SUPER TIGHT.

I like when the laptop goes closer to the back that way it's always flat.

CONCLUSION:
For what I need, this backpack is almost perfect. My biggest issue is where the laptop slot is, it has been super annoying to remove the laptop once the backpack is full, because everything is pushing up against the first compartment. To me this is major so I can't give it 5 stars, but it does work just fine!

This is not like a traditional backpack. The main compartment opens from around the sides like a suitcase. The main compartment had a buckling strap on the bottom to hold down clothing (like in a traditional suitcase) and the "lid" side had a couple more zippered compartments for organization. The bag felt durable and well made. Maybe even a little heavy. Overall I liked this bag but didn't actually travel with it (that's the only reason I gave 4 stars). I had ordered a few bags to test out for my upcoming trip. Ultimately, I decided to return this one, choosing to keep another that suited my needs better. But I would considered re-ordering this one in the future if I'm looking for another carry-on size backpack style suitcase in the future.

I'm 5'2" and this 17" pack fits perfectly. It weighs ~4 lbs empty which seems fairly standard for this style backpack. The features I wanted were a sideopening (like a suitcase) a pocket to store the shoulder straps(in case I have to check it) and a pocket for my Ipad. In addition, this pack also has some smaller outside pockets for passport, cellphone, anything you may need to access easily. It has an adjustable holder for a water bottle with an additional strap to secure it. It also has straps to cinch the backpack tighter to decrease the fullness.A previous contributer commented that it would be better for the smaller ouside pockets to be against your back so they couldn't be accessed by pickpockets. I don't disagree but I always use a travel waist belt for my important papers so that's not an issue for me. I was looking for a backpack with a waist belt also but that typically adds another 40.00 to the cost. This backpack doesn't really shift too much when I bend over so it wasn't worth the extra expense. I'm only using it in airports. If I planned to go hiking I would have looked for a much different backpack. I packed a poncho, sweatshirt, 5 pair of slacks, 7 tops, personal items, brush, ipad, essentially enough for 1+ week and had additinal space left to pack more. The stitching and zippers look like they will hold up well with heavy use. Overall, this is the pack I plan to use for a 3 week vacation next spring. Great price and well constructed. Since I havent used it yet I only gave it 4 stars but I have no doubts it will earn 5 once I travel with it.
Update 3/2023 Just traveled to Cancun from North Carolina. I was able to pack enough for a week without difficulty. Some of the things I realized... I could not use the water bottle holder if I cinched the bag to make the depth smaller; there's a key holder on the inside pocket and this was great. One of the pockets on the inside was waterproof. My pack weighed 14 pounds total once I had it fully packed. I'm 68 and my husband is 78 and we had no difficulty getting the pack on or walking long distances with it. The weight on our shoulders were evenly distributed and very comfortable. I absolutely loved the pocket to tuck the straps into. This feature was handy when I chose to carry the pack instead of wearing it. The small front pocket was perfect for our 1 quart liquid bag and was easily accesses.Overall I was very pleased with all the features. I will use it as a carryon for my 3 week trip to Europe since I plan to bring back gifts and will be checking a bag. I highly recommend this backpack based on it's functionality and excellent price.
