Hot handle

Very attractive kettle but the handle gets hot as hell. It comes with stupid little plastic pouch to keep you from burning yourself it's useless. Just keep a regular potholder around.
Looks amazing
Derek Barclay✓ Verified Purchase•August 9, 2023
We really like this kettle. It looks amazing, has not discolored during the six months we have used it. it is very easy to clean as well. We rated this kettle a 4 star due only to the fact the brass part of the handle becomes extremely hot during use and therefore, much care is required to not touch the brass part of the handle while pouring out hot liquids.
Great kettle, one flaw
Sbird7✓ Verified Purchase•August 8, 2023
Love the kettle. It works great, and it looks even better. The only flaw is they should've put the white around the entire handle, because when you got to push the button that opens the spout it burns your finger. BURNS! So you have to wear an oven mitt to open the spout. If they made the whole handle with the white part, or at least until after the button then you wouldn't get burned when opening the spout.
Teapot rust?
Cheryl ✓ Verified Purchase•July 6, 2023
I purchased the black Susteas tea kettle earlier this year and loved that it matched my black stovetop. However, recently I inspected the inside and noticed rust forming on the inside bottom perimeter of the teapot. I used a paper towel to wipe it out. My question is, how can this happen to a stainless steel teapot? After reading the details regarding the teapot's bottom composition, I learned that it was made of iron, aluminum, and stainless steel. I believe my water is of good quality, so I can't believe that's the reason the rust was there. I think this teapot will require regular "drying out" before using in the future. I'm still not confident that it's safe to use.
