The apple flavored gels have plastic-y smell to it at first when you tear it open.
Otherwise it does what it supposed to.
I wish I had read about the articifial flavors they use in this.
Probably won't be buying this brand/flavor anymore.

I really missed PowerGel because it was the gel that had the highest sodium content so I was happy to see it back! I couldn't wait to try it! I used it on a very humid day while running a 15k. The flavor and texture is great! It was so easy to take and wash down with water! I carried it with me and took a half packet at 2 separate aid stations. The package design is great. It was easy to tear and easy to fold back up to put back in my pocket without leaking out. I maintained my energy throughout the humid morning with no cramping and felt great afterwards!
