Great Pot with Some Room for Improvement
wavemanc✓ Verified Purchase•November 2, 2023
I bought this for my girlfriend who likes to cook. From what I can see, the product is nicely made. Distributes the heat well. The one thing someone else mentioned that can be improved on is the seal of the lid to the pot. I thought it was a little loose, and heat from cooking would not seal it tight which concerns me when it comes to rice. However, it does the job and my girlfriend likes the side vents to filter the water out when making pasta.
Love love love these pans!

I bought the larger one awhile back and loved it so I bought the smaller one just for convenience and I reach for both all the time! I use these things all. the. time. and they are easy to wash, sturdy and they don't stain or show signs of wear. The heat distribution on the bottom of the pan is great even when used on smaller eyes that may not cover the whole bottom of the pan. Also, they heat up in the amount of time you'd expect them to. Just a really quality product and very well made.
Good saucepan w/lid...

This is a good saucepan and we use it nearly every day. I would rate it 5 stars if it had a little grip/handle opposite of the main handle. Makes draining thing a little tricky if you want to grip both sides of the pan/pot.
Buying 2nd for Applesauce cook-down - great heat distribution on induction cooktop

Love these! This is my 2nd purchase of this item (try-ply full body - 6 qrt stockpot). Because it's wider & the heat distribution is so good, the apples for applesauce cook down more quickly & evenly top to bottom than several other quality stainless steel pans that I have (even better than the AVACRAFT 7 quart, Pasta Pot w Strainers). I prefer it over even that one. It also heats up water (for pasta) faster (induction cooktop), though maybe not as fast as my Instant Pot does on 'sauté'. Also love the lid strain & pour feature & that it has measurement marks for water level inside the pan. High quality & beautiful design too. Love almost all my Avacraft pans.
Discovered that it was easier to use 2 of these smaller 6 quart tri-ply full body covered stockpot pans vs 1 huge pot to cook-down the apples. Their better heat distribution works faster & reduces the chances of scorching the bottom or having to turn/stir the apples excessively & also reduces the amount of water needed to start the apples cooking initially to less than 1/8 cup (compared to using one huge pot).
Steam canning worked better too vs water-bath (less heat in the kitchen, faster processing time w getting up to heat & better flexibility w not having to put in a full 7 quarts each time because of water level). This pan (along w my VICTORIO VKP1130 steam or waterbath canner which can also be used as a big cookpot) has been a game-changer for processing large quantities of apples/fruit or acidified produce (like pickles/tomatoes) quickly w less mess & heat in the kitchen.
I should also mention that my (VICTORIO VKP1130 steam canner) is now being sold under a different name (Kitchen Crop VKP Brands), but if you search by either of those names, the stockpot steam canner should come up that I like. It will show two different styles of steam canners for them, but I prefer the stockpot style as it has more uses. It can be used as a steam canner or a waterbath canner or a large cookpot for cooking down tomatoes', etc (more versatile), well worth the small increase in price over the other one (heavier duty too). Just remember w steam canners that you have to watch the water level, but I've noticed w mine that it doesn't go down very fast because of the lid. Here's it's link.

10/18/23 - AVACRAFT Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Saucepan with Glass Strainer Lid, Two Side Spouts
The first thing that comes to mind, while writing this review, is, I LOVE this pot!
Ixve been making rice for a few years. Suddenly, my rice had pits. The very center of the grains weren't getting cooked. It wasn't that much of a big deal, but it was annoying. Then I made a popular, brand name, boxed Red Beans & Rice. Those pitts were unacceptable! So, what was the problem? Well, I decided to read the directions, again. It said to use a 3 quart saucepan. I didn't have a 3 qt saucepan; I only had a 2 qt saucepan and much larger. I ended up adding another 10 minutes o the cook time and my rice came out fine.
Well, when I bought this pot, I cooked rice and made my Red Beans & Rice dish. I cooked my rice as I always has and I cooked he Red Beans & Rice per the directions. It literally came out, perfectly. Sometimes, my rice had been a little wet on the bottom. Not with this pot! The bottom of the pot is dry and the rice is a little moist, as though it had been steamed! I've cooked other things and the pot just cooks very evenly.
I'm very pleased with this saucepan. It's been a great addition to my kitchen.
