Great starter kit

I am a Boy Scout who just went to camp and did wood carving. The knives fit my hands really well and i think that they will fit bigger hands as well. They are easy to use and would make a great gift for anybody. They are nice and sharp. I have had a good time using these. They seem to be a good quality that will last a long time as long as I take care of them.

Updated, added more pictures of things I've made with this set. This is the first time I've done spoon crafting and the set felt great.
I went ahead and read quite a few of the reviews... and was noticing a pattern saying the blades are dull. So I ignorantly assumed they were true... and boy was that a mistake. Removing the protective cap I was able to slice my index finger. PLEASE BE CAREFUL THEY ARE VERY SHARP!!!!
Anyway on to the review:
This is my first set of these ever, I recently started watching spoon crafting videos and it looked like something I'd enjoy doing and this set was quite cheap for what it had to offer. It comes with 3 Knives, A hook knife (used to make the scoop part of the spoons or bowls) A sloyd knife, and a detail knife, and a sharpening stone (not huge but better than nothing if you don't really want to spend more money).
Right away I began using these tools, right after bandaging my cut up I was ready to go with more precaution this time. They cut very nice and very smooth, I can see how people in those videos make it look so easy! This set is amazing for the price if you're just starting out and want to see if the hobby is for you. Give them a try!

Good Starting set/issues with hook knife

I was torn on 3 or 4 starts. I really love the two carving knives but have had issue with the hook knife. The first set i got, the hook knife had a big ding/gouge in the cutting edge so I had a replacement set sent. The knives have been working great for the past couple weeks until tonight. The hook knife came out of the handle. Im a little Leary in gluing it back in because Im not sure it was glued to begin with. Its my first set of carving knives so I dont have much to compare them to but Ive also been a professional chef for a lot of years and know a sharp knife. The cuts all over my fingers that I rarely feel when it happens tells me these are good sharp knives! I strop them before carving each day and have been using a sharpening stone every 4-5 days depending on how much carving Im doing and they sharpen quickly and easily. Not sure If ill have to have another set sent out again
