After a rookie wiring mistake, i burnt up my original dash cam. Wasn't happy at all. so the search began. I thought to use my gopro-ish camera i got on one of those "auction" sites, but it just didn't work the way i needed. So back to Amazon to start anew. I read as many of the reviews as i could stand from both sides of the fence. I decided to take the chance on GOODTS Full HD 1080P Mini Car Camera and for the price, I could afford to give it a try.
I didn't realize how small this dash cam is and with that small of a screen, well i wasn't feeling good about this purchase right off. I did a quick plug in check and my world changed. I couldn't believe all the different function and what i would be able to do. But the screen blew me away. It was clear and sharp, like a brand new flat screen tv. I have one of those golf cart mirrors that i just put in and then stuck the cam set up to the top of my windshield, then went to sit in the driver seat. Another big surprise!! It barely hangs below the mirror and didn't obstruct any of my view. I was sold right then and there. I ran the USB hardwired kit to my new switch. No more having to plug an unplug each trip doing my deliveries. After a full day of running around tow, i pulled the Micro SD card to see how it all looked on my computer and yup, I put in my Amazon cart, another GOODTS Full HD 1080P Mini Car Camera for the back window. I am impressed on how good the picture quality is and with all the functions, i can set it up the way I want not the way the factory says i have to. So if you want to get one of them bigger, fancier and pricier dash cams, then you'll be missing out big on a great little dash, the GOODTS Full HD 1080P Mini Car Camera Driving Recorder 1.5 inch Screen...

I bought this camera because I liked how small it is, I wanted a dash cam that I would not notice. I mounted it behind my rearview camera so I can't even see it. The cable that comes with the camera is very long, so it makes it easy to route in your car and hide. It does come with a little vinyl tool to help push the cable in and it also came with 4 pieces of sticky cable mounts. Mine for whatever reason were not really sticky so I just bought some from walmart but it was easy to route. The video quality is superb for how small the dash cam is too. I also like how if it detects any vibration, it will automatically turn on which is nice. Mine came with a 16gb SD card but I reached out to their support time and got it all taken care of. Good customer service.

Small and non-intrusive but well made.

When I ordered this Dash Cam, I was unsure of what I was going to get, but after I received and installed it, I was blown away!! For the price I paid, I made out like a bandit. It is small but not too small, so it doesn't obstruct my view, I could run all the wire myself behind the roof line and plastic with the tool that came with it! You can choose what type of picture you want between 1080, 720 or the lowest which is like CVTV or something, to conserve space on the memory card. It has a motion sensor so it starts recording as soon a I turn on the car and move, as well as a parking guard setting which will record automatically while the car is off in case someone hits it or something! It also has a jolt setting which automatically locks a video clip if I am in an accident or something so it doesn't get recorded over once the memory card runs out of space, and in case you forget to lock it yourself!! It just has a ton of little settings and surprises, I am very impressed in the early days of installing it, we will have to see how it holds up over time though!! But if it's built with the same quality as the settings, I'd say it shouldn't be an issue, plus this company has great support if needed! ***I would recommend this product to anyone needing a dash camera, especially in this day and age of driving!! Also would recommend this product as a gift for someone, which I may buy a couple more as gifts!!!*** Thank you GOODTS!!!

Great little camera for the price. I commute 80 miles per day in heavily populated areas during rush hour traffic. I've had 2 people hit my truck in the last 6 months. Thankfully both had admitted fault to the accidents but, I didn't want to take any more chances. I figured it was time for a dash camera for insurance purposes.

I have to say that I am impressed with this camera considering it's low price. It's compact and not distracting. Auctions holds well and it's easy to operate as long as you read the instructions to familiarize yourself with it first.

My only complaint is the video quality.
While it does have very good quality, it claims it records in 1080p. I don't feel that the quality is 1080p. However, it could be the quality settings, which I am still adjusting. It does pick up a lot of glare during the day. The camera can easily read license plates of the cars next to me but it struggles with vehicles directly in front of me. Night vision is the same. Heavily lit areas will slightly distort the quality. Once again, this could be the way I have it set and I am still making adjustments.

Overall, I've had this camera installed in my truck for nearly a month with daily use and for the price, you can't go wrong. $30 for a camera is better than a $500 deductible for car insurance. I will eventually edit this review with added photos and/or videos once I tweak the settings a little more.

For now, I'd say go ahead and take a chance on this little camera.
