It had a weird smell and a small stain when I got it. So I put it to the test. I washed and dried it and it didn't distort at all. I dried it on a low heat, one cycle, and that dried it all the way through. I'm glad that it holds up nicely after washing and drying because I would rather wash it if my baby spits up or has an accident. The stain came out easily mostly surface level and could have just been some old dust that got on it while it was packed. The weird plastic smell disappeared after one wash too. This fits perfectly in the Dream On Me Onyx Playpen. I got the baby blue rug and the color goes perfect with my decor.

I really like the softness of this mat. It's really comfortable for baby to lay on vs the scratchy material at the bottom of the play yard. I have the evenflo play away and there are no mats that fit the dimensions of it. It comes with a thin padding at the bottom but I have wood floors and it was not comfortable enough. I put this mat in there knowing it would be a couple inches too big on a few of the sides (you can see they curl up a little) but there are grips on the bottom of the mat that keep it in place when my child scoots/rolls/crawls. I wish it were a little thicker but this mat adds enough padding that I don't have to worry. Overall it works great as a little play area away from my dogs and my toddler.

I like that it was great option to give a little bit of support to the Hexagon play pen, It doesn't fold too small so you can't travel in planes with it but it would be okay in a trunk of a car. If the your baby falls or hits his head the impact becomes less because there is a little bit of cushion. however, it's bigger than the playpen i purchased not too extreme but it doesn't fit perfect like a puzzle. I don't mind the fit i just needed some support, this is okay.

I will like to say that i looked at a lot of rugs for a playpen and later decided to buy this one. I am very much satisfied by this and looks good too. The quality of rug is very good exactly what i needed for my baby when she fell. The material is soft velvet and has cushion which makes it comfortable. The size of the rug is perfect for the hexagon playpen. Also i will like to point out the customer service of this company is great. This rug is wonderful!!! It's soft enough for my infant son to walk, crawl, and run!! It's provides enough cushion so when he does fall, it doesn't hurt on impact. You are able to vacuum it but it has to be on the highest setting
