Shelf design is as pictured. It's a nice looking shelf! My only criticism would be that the color pictured isn't 100% accurate. I purchased the gray washed option (I think that was letter C), and it was definitely redder than I hoped for. My pictures show it in natural lighting to give a better idea, and also against our gray tones floors.

Looks good will work for me. I used some sheetrock mounting hardware I already had on hand. My screws were silver, theirs were black, just my wall anchors and screws looked more solid.
