First year cutting my own hay. My second crop was questionable so I ordered this tester. Certain bales were well above allowable moisture. Moved the hay outside and it got hot, quick. Truly think I would have burned my barn down. I can't say how accurate it is since I don't have another to compare. I could only compare first and second cut bales and there was a big difference. I will check prior to baling next time.

I'm using it to test hay that I purchase . In rainy seasons it is particularly important to test the hay moisture . I have not , as of yet, been able to verify the accuracy of the moisture tester but it seems reasonable and experience will eventually validate the results .
Be forewarned : the instructions are not very English friendly "” somewhat hard to believe someone would be selling in the US market and not bother to get the English right .
