We have an autistic son and can't leave small appliances plugged in on our countertop due to safety concerns. We were constantly plugging in and then unplugging small appliances to use them (toaster, blender, etc). Using these has changed everything! Now we can leave the appliances plugged in and just flip the switch (which he hasn't figured out) to turn things on and off. Also like that the lowlight comes on on the switch itself to identify when the power is turned on at a glance. Only thing I'd do differently is buy the dark ones next time since our switch plates are all dark (not white). These also help with the two lights that don't have a switch on the light itself or is in a hard to reach place.
Eliminated ghost drawl

Before, I could walk around house without turning on lights due to small lights on equipment. This eliminates ghost drawl due to those lights and adds more protection from spiking damage. Roku box was hot because it was always on, now cools between use. Only issue is Comcast box needs time to reset (to use channel guide) when turned on.
