The covers are shiny and sparkly, and the package included multiples of pretty colors. I included them in a kids Harry Potter scavenger hunt, which meant looking for something inexpensive. My bad for not reading the item description close enough though. These are smaller than most school memo pads, but luckily the kids didn't care because they were shiny.
