Heats up quickly, but not as effective as expected

The hair straightener heats up very quickly and is easy to use, but does take more effort than expected to straighten hair - II guess it's easier to curl hair than straighten.
Temperature adjuster is easy and ergonomic. The outside plastic on the ends gets quite hot, so you will probably want a hot mitt as it really gets tiring to pull your hear through using only the handle.

Works really well!! Took only a few minutes to get super hot!! The plates literally glided through my hair. It has a bit of a smell, but I think that's due to first time usage. I'd recommend using a heat protectant spray. Very pleased with my results!!

I have bought several hair straightening irons over the years. My favorite one, by far, is a Remington (not sure they actually still make it) FOR frizzy hair. That one worked fantastically for years. It still does, but I find my hair isn't as smooth as it was when the Remington was new. I've tried other brands, they are average-- even if they straighten well. The Remington got rid of all the frizz in a way others didn't.
So, compared to that Remington, this one isn't quite as good. But it DOES work as well as a regular straightener. It doesn't seem as strong when I close it, it doesn't seem as hot as it should be, but it does straighten. I do have to go over each section of hair at least twice to get it straight, hold the iron sides closed as I pull, and use smaller sections of hair than I had to with my preferred straightener. I was thinking to myself, "Oh, that's because my other one must have been 2 inches. Well, when I was done, I compared the two flat irons, and my other straightener was only 1 inch, also-- yet it worked a lot better.
So, this one is a decent straightener, it does the job, but not as well as the Remington's I've had. If I just had bangs to straighten, I'd recommend this, but I don't think it works as well as it should have.
Plus side: the cord on this one is great-- it's thick, it has an anti-twist feature at the bottom. I like that. It seems to heat up fast and I like that, too.

This hair straightener doesn't have all the bells an whistles and "bling" of a lot if other straighteners, but it works just as well! It does not pull your hair while straightening and is a one pass straightener. It is simple to use and very light weight. It heats up very quickly. See my pictures for more details. Overall, I would highly recommend the straightener!
