Probably best espresso/mocha stovetop pot out there

As good as all the other reviews state, particularly Umberto, Mimi & Rawr. Yes, it is superb quality thick stainless that does in fact require a basic induction plate to work on induction stovetops. No issues with the pot in almost a year. Great taste. No cheap made in China linings/parts, whether plastic or aluminum, so doesn't produce nasty taste or start peeling / falling apart in months, nor does it have issues with fitting or twist seal like some other products. And it is top quality, better even than Italian brands with cheap Chinese seals or inner coatings per those reviews, but still cost almost as much as this coffee pot. Superb quality stainless steel product from Taiwan...yes this would've been kinda funny 25 years ago, but unlike just about everything that continues to come from China and is still just cheap almost throw-away junk, Taiwan makes some quality stuff now, and this is a prime example. Only thing to be aware of is that while it's easy to clean, hard water will leave some residue on inner bottom, which might need just a bit of a scrub.

Works well and the coffee tastes great. It takes a little extra work for the single (standard) cup I make to come out HOT from my electric stovetop. I first put on a kettle and bring to a near boil. I fill the Moka pot to halfway and place in the filter/reducer upside-down and topped off. I pour remaining water into the upper, wait a few second for it to warm, then pour into my mug. Screw it together and place on burner at medium heat. It takes 5-6 minutes. Preheating the upper is essential for a hot cup. Preheating the mug also makes a big difference. Preheating the water for brewing may not be necessary but I read that it improves flavor. I haven't had it long enough to say for sure if it matters.
BLACK RESIDUE????
Cindy Reynolds✓ Verified Purchase•October 4, 2023
UPDATE: after 6 months. I have a concern- photo attached. Inside of the bottom gets a black powder residue left over as shown on the paper towels. The brown is coffee residue from the inside of the top half but the bottom has a charcoal colored residue from inside the water container. See black on towel. Why would it not be coffee colored? Like the top?
I paid extra to be free from aluminum. I know it's normal for steel to tarnish under heat so I'm okay with that BUT it's black inside. Im not a pro so I don't know why but I don't like it. It's a very sturdy pot! It's been a daily work horse. But that black residue worries me a lot! I think the inside filters are in fact aluminum. They are not steel sounding or feeling. Amazon has sold me so many false items I'm getting tired of it. But I think here this maker is not honest completely.

I researched moka pots for months. I didn't want aluminum touching my food as it's very toxic and related to Alzheimer's. Everything about this pot is high quality. If you love coffee this is the best steel pot you can get under $100. The handle is on very well. It has no rubber but that's good it would probably melt. I use a heat pad to grab it. This is stainless All throughout. It is small holding 1 cup at a time but heavy duty. I don't waist my money on cheap crap and this is not cheap. It'll last a long time with care. I'm happy!

A year later and still looking good and going strong!

I bought this beauty in January of this year, a year later it still works perfectly and makes a fantastic cup of coffee. I bought this because I wanted to have sent that is COMPLETELY made from stainless steel. If you've been looking for one you know that's not an easy feat. But I finally found this one after searching for days, and I'm so glad that I did. and Yes, expect for the ring, it's completely made out stainless steel and it DOES make a difference in how the coffee tastes.
Expensive? Yes. Worth it? HECK YES! Here's to many more years of making delish coffee!

Best Moka pot hands down, imo.

I have gone through many different brands, Debut is by far the best from which I have tried. It feels like its made from higher quality stainless steel, I feel like I got what I paid for. Support is very kind as well, I lost a reducer and bought another and they sent a nice hand written message along with a free coffee spoon/scooper. Small thing but I appreciate people who make the effort to hand write a message in 2023.
Pro tip: I have bought several of these, a few for myself and some for family and friends. Immediately after making coffee, I pour my cup then run the pot under warm water to cool it off, take it apart and rinse it out completely. I have had mine for several months now and they look brand new, absolutely ZERO discoloring anywhere.
My parents don't really care, just want the coffee to be made. Quite often they will leave the pot on the burner for much longer than they should just because they aren't watching while its being made, then they might not clean it out until a few hours later. Their bottom cup is now a bronze/brownish color. Take care of your tools!!
