I've researched a lot of game cameras in the past few months and after much consideration I decided on the Alpha Cam Premium Outdoor Trail Camera and thank goodness I did. My pictures are so much better, the operations of the camera are so simply even this 62 female can program it. To give you a comparison, my husband bought me a different game camera the same day I bought this one and this camera won hands down!! I would definitely purchase and recommend Alpha to family and friends.

So I am Very happy with the Trail camera. I Purchased Two of them to give them a try and I plan on getting more. The setup is easy to do and understand. It has a lot of great settings. You can set how many pictures it takes you can set the length of the video it takes. you can have it take a picture and a video and more. You can change the Triger sensitivity and the IR light settings. It has some other modes i have not messed with.
If the animal is moving fast at night it is a little blurred but besides that it works great. other trail cameras I have had usually got the butt end of the animal. This cam seems to get them nicely centered in the picture. In video mode the video and Audio are great. I love being able to hear the animals walk or make sounds.
The Cameras also have a 12 volt input. I have not used it yet but I want to in the future to set up some long video recordings and not drain a bunch of double a batteries.
The strap that comes with it is really nice to mount it. It is nice and long to get around even the chubbiest of trees. over all I like this camera and plan on getting more. I may try the next model up to see what it is like but I don't know if the extra money will be worth it but we will see.

The media could not be loaded. Really like my new Alpha Cam cameras. Videos, photos, trigger speeds and flash are really good. I'm not sure yet about battery life as the cameras have only been in the field for a month. They have been through several hard rains and are completely dry. Batteries and SD cards are easy to access, and setup wasn't difficult.
Update 8/13/23: I'm still running the same lithium batteries installed in early December, so battery life is very good. Cameras are still taking good pictures and videos; no water issues and trigger speed is great. Only small issues are I can't get my small laptop to read the SD cards through a card reader, and I'm getting a few false triggers now. Since this issue just started, I think it is due to the100+ degree ambient temps we are experiencing right now.

I have at least 10 cameras currently deployed on our property. Bushnell, Moultrie, Wildgame, Browning_ and some off the peg cheap-oh stuff from the local hardware store. This is by far the best camera of the bunch. I am totally impressed. I put this one up in a situation with less than ideal lighting where the tree cover is heavy and when light gets in it tends to stream into a spot and not light the whole area. The pictures from this cam beat out everything else I have tried in that spot. Excellent day or night shots. I'll be ordering some more to replace some of the duds like my latest moultrie mistake. As far as the trigger this cam has taken 3X the pictures captured by other cams in the same spot. I suppose that means it trigger is better since I am not seeing any "blank" shots to speak of. I have no clue on the battery life yet because I only recently deployed it. It might be good but I just don't know yet.

I wanted a trail cam to monitor deer on my property before setting up a blind. I initially purchased a Coolife trail camera primarily based on their claim of 115' detection distance but I found it was much less than that. It wouldn't detect at 60' in daylight or 40' at night with the sensitivity set on high. I returned the Coolife and purchased the Alpha Cam premium. The Alpha Cam detected and captured images at 65' (furthest I measured) in daylight in auto sensitivity mode but also detected much further out. At night it detected me at 65' (long range flash mode). I haven't tried the video mode but the photo image quality is very good viewed on my PC or tablet. The camera has a fast turnaround speed adjustable down to 1 s. Another nice feature is the auto sensitivity setting for the PIR motion sensor in addition to low, normal and high. Presumably in auto sensitivity the level is determined by the temp. The latch mechanism closes the unit tightly. The directions in the user manual are brief but adequate.

There were a few minor negative issues with the Alpha Cam for me. The font for date and time displayed on the built-in viewer is a burnt orange color and difficult to read even with reading glasses. The red LED flash in setup mode used to test the detection image angle and distance during camera setup is not visible to me beyond 20' but you can view the images on the display to see the field of view and distance during setup. The latch handle closes at the back of the camera and was tough to grasp and open the camera when mounted to a tree. The cam latch takes a little force to open and close which is not a problem and provides a tight seal but I'm concerned the plastic may break over time. The field of view is 55° which narrower than a lot of cameras but not a problem. The camera operates at 12 v so eight AA batteries are required. Some trail cameras are 6 v and can be used with 4 or 8 batteries.

Alpha Cam performs its primary functions well capturing clear images at a good distance from the camera day and night.
