Be very careful after washing this lid. Water collects under the glass on inside of the lid. I did not soak it, simply washed it for first use. Had to push my fingernail up in between layers to get to water trapped there. Will not store this lid on top of cast iron pan for fear
that it will rust my new skillet if any water residue is still trapped inside. Is this defective? The knob was placed inside the lid upon delivery. I assume to protect it and easier shipping. The lid fits perfectly on the Victoria 10" skillet. Mine is oven safe to 450 degrees per shipping box. I'll just be careful to make sure it is thoroughly dry before storing!

as many ppl have noted, as shipped this product is lacking. the washer/screws for the metal handle do not work. however if u go to a hardware store and get some washers (they cost like $.05), it'll sort the issue and this will work fine. as a note, since the matching cast iron pan has pour spouts on the side, the lid won't be air-tight. You can't really do a rice dish or things like that. But for most other applications it's great and it looks very premium too. Worth the $10
