I find it works better if you slightly compress the sandwich making it easier to move sandwich to bottom ofheater

This is such a cute addition to my kitchen. We love us some grilled cheese so it gets a lot of use. The outside gets more crispy than when I use a frying pan, which is a really nice change from the ordinary.
The little tray that slides out on the bottom helps a lot with keeping it tidy.
My only complaint is that it gets quite a bit darker on one side than the other. But I deal with it by lowering the grilling time a little then switching the sandwich to the other side (or trading places if I'm doing 2) and going just a bit longer.
