I purchased this kit almost a year ago. After comparing this kit to several others ive completed, I felt compelled to came back to give this one a 5 star review!
The main reason is that there is no way I could have purchased all of the amazing miniature food, furnature and accessories for this price or even the materials to make them! This kit truly comes with a beautiful assortment of extras.
I am seriously considering purchasing another kit for kit bashing and just to have the extras on hand for other projects.
If you are into these types of kits you will be pleasantly surprised!

A great miniature build... I encourage you to be open to modifying when necessary.

I built this for my sister for her birthday. It's the 4th miniature build I've done. It took me about 100 hours, altogether.
And, it's a beautiful build.
The instructions were clear. The pictures are very helpful.
The number one tip I've found in miniature building is: be open to making modifications when necessary. Your build may not look exactly like the picture, but it can still look really great.
I made several modifications for various reasons.
Some thoughts:
+ The triangular roof pieces were not big enough to attach to the other roof pieces. There was an open gap on the roof that was probably an inch wide. This was disappointing. To cover, I glued extra of the green vine over top of it.
+ Be careful with the small wooden pieces for the pastry display cabinet. In the process of gluing the cabinet together, one of the pieces snapped into several smaller pieces. So, I improvised and created a pastry table.
+ When making the pieces with shelving, it's probably better to glue the smaller pieces on to the shelves before gluing the shelves to the cabinets. I followed the measurements in the instructions, but still had to remove and reset shelving in both cases. Also, I ended up modifying where some things were placed due to insufficient shelf height.
+ Due to a challenge gluing the fabric with the pink pillow on the rattan sofa, I used a leftover bunny from a Lego set.
+ Some of the paper crafting is intricate. It requires patience, a steady hand, and focus. And even then, there's margin for error. One small mistake in the cutting or gluing can cost you the piece.
+ The window film that I received was a bit scratched and smudged. So, I purchased transparency film to substitute.
+ The transparent film collects dust. I used a can of compressed air to clean the windows off when done. Note: Be very careful (gentle) when doing this, and make sure your window film is glued well. I ended up using too much pressure and blowing out one of the triangle windows. It also blew some of the interior pieces around, too. Because everything is closed in when put together, it can be very difficult to reset the pieces on the inside.

The media could not be loaded. I am absolutely in love with miniature houses and had to get this. Everything is so detailed however, the installation of the lights were a little bit complicated and there were some missing pieces which are that big of a deal but however, this was a super great process of building this house and it took me about 3 to 4 days to finish

Overall I am really impressed with all of the pieces and parts that are included in this kit. This is my first time building a scale model, so I didn't realize how involved it would be. This kit is definitely meant to be a long term project where the process of making the model is what you want to experience rather than just wanting to get it assembled so you can have the completed item to display. I found that a few tools are required to get started: in addition to the kit I got a #1 Exacto, a set of precision tweezers, and gel Gorilla glue. So far that is everything required to do a decent job replicating the photos in the instructions. There is a little confusion with figuring out which part is which since the pieces and parts are not individually labeled with the part numbers the guide refers to, but there are so many pieces and parts that it would be impossible to bag each piece by itself. If I had one complaint, it would be that there are no guide lines on the pieces to tell you where to glue and the loose measurements in the book are metric. There is a pretty cool video on Youtube showing this kit being assembled if you want to see what you will be diving into. I was surprised how many of the items on the furniture are pieces of paper folded and glued into 3d objects.
My first miniature kit..... and it's beautiful!

If you like detailed, intricate, hands-on crafting projects, then this is for you! This is probably the most complicated and detailed model out there with numerous tiny pieces to pull together and 4 types of lighting to install. But the end-result is so impressive - the pics don't do it justice - it is well worth the time!
Even though this was my first model, the clear instructions, quality and completeness of the kit make it easy to make the model exactly as pictured. But be prepared that even the simplest pieces will take more time than expected to pull together. So it is not for those who want quick results - mine took 4 weekends to complete.
The only problem I encountered was getting the roof pieces to fit together. My husband and I laid out the pieces ahead of time to plan the angles. No matter what we tried, we just couldn't get the triangular pieces to fit together. He finally did some gerry-rigging (shims, modifying pieces, etc) to get it to work. Fortunately, enough vines are supplied to cover any gaps and boo-boos. The final piece looks perfect - have gotten so many compliments from friends and family already!
I'm hooked! This has kicked off a new hobby for me and I've already bought other kits to try out. The quality of this one will be hard to beat!
