This product has worked very well for the past year. I have only used clean water, but my tap water is a bit hard and I believe this has caused a sensor or other component within the machine to have trouble sensing the water level.
It makes ice pretty quickly. 1 full container is probably good for 6-7 pretty full glasses of ice.
My machine basically died after 14 months of continuous operation. In retrospect, I think that using filtered water will improve the lifespan of this machine.
The machine has acted temperamental before, occasionally not sensing the water level. Usually turning it off for an hour would fix it.
I will give 4 stars because it occasionally breaks down and barely lasted more than a year, but I feel this might be related to my own hard water and it has otherwise performed well. Therefore I will only take off one star.

I've been sitting on purchasing this ice maker for awhile now. I even got on New Air's website and joined their mailing list to see if I could get a better price. I couldn't so finally I pressed the buy it now here on Amazon two weeks ago because they had the best price. And the 4 year warranty plan is a must.
I have no idea why I waited so long because this machine is great. We have ice ready after a few minutes and it keeps making more. The only complaint I have is that the container is not refrigerated so if you don't remove your ice immediately it will eventually melt and be made into another batch of ice. The ice is never truly dry which is fine. We empty it often and store it in bags for the fridge. I suggest only using filtered water. It definitely helps make you drink more of your daily water intake.

I have had this machine for over two months now. I don't usually write reviews, but decided I owed it to the supplier/manufacturer. Perhaps one of the best purchases I have ever made! We used to constantly run out of ice and had to buy ice from the store. This machine makes all the ice we need! We use the machine daily. It takes about 75 minutes for the machine to fill up the ice bucket. We only use the large ice cube setting. The machine automatically stops when either the ice bucket is full and/or the reservoir is low on water (with red warning lights for both). The reservoir has clear markings for minimum and maximum water levels. If we are not quick to empty the full ice bucket, it is not a problem at all since the machine appears to be so well insulated that the ice does not melt. The footprint of the machine is very compact. I figure I will pay for this machine in one year by not having to make trips to the store to buy ice. I hope the machine lasts for many years. We are so very happy with our purchase!

The media could not be loaded. I'm really satisfied with this and it doesn't even belong to me. I purchased this for/with my wife. She's an ice fiend! Lol. This makes ice really fast. Apparently the directions say 8 minutes but it certainly seems faster than that. Do one activity and you have ice. The video I uploaded should help. It gives you 8 cubes at one time; as much as the scooper can scoop (with good precision). I think this product is less expensive than it's worth. Probably our 2nd best buy. The science of it is awesome too"¦ a good thing to get your children intrigued to look into. Don't think about it "¦ just get it.
