Good machine - distance is lacking.

We purchased this for our dog and he absolutely loves it. We use it outside during nice weather. The package came as stated - machine, adapter, and three mini-tennis balls. The distance isn't a far as the product description says when set at the farthest setting which is a little disappointing since the dog is very energetic and could definitely use the farther distance. We have not had any problems with the machine and it only took about 10 minutes for him to learn how to use the machine himself (dropping the ball in the top). He is a "chewer" and has gone through the three balls that came with the machine, but the replacement balls purchased at a local store work just as well. No issues other than the distance (4 starts, not 5 stars). I had a fear that the dog might be hurt because he frequently stands directly in front of the machine as it launches, but he hasn't been phased at all - no injuries from an almost direct impact/launch just a foot or so from the launch opening.
Great toy but requires supervision.

Love everything about this except that it wont stay on. You have to push the button to town it on, it automatically turns off after a few minutes. I bought it hoping my dog could play with it even when I wasn't home.

Well, it seems to do exactly as advertised.. unfortunately I didn't realize that the lowest setting of 10m is still pretty forceful! It sounds exactly like this... wwwuuuuUUURRRRR-FOOMP! Not nearly as loud as I thought it'd be from another review I read.
