I am Betta sitting my granddaughter's fish. I turn my heat down at night and the poor thing was hardly moving during the day. I researched and found it's water was more than 10 degrees too cold for it. I read the reviews on this reptile heating pad and also bought a thermometer. The switch on the heating pad doesn't really have a mark for me to judge too hot etc. I put a mark on it. It heated up the fish bowl nicely and keeps it right at 75 degrees. The Betta now swims around. I didn't use the adhesive pad since I'm Betta sitting. I would purchase again my conscience is better seeing a happy fish.

I needed a way to keep my isopod cultures both warm and dark. This keeps them evenly warm at 76-78 degrees F. This is optimum for their health and breeding. Some keep isopods as pets, mine are part of my bioactive vivariums clean-up crew, along with springtails.
This would be a good addition to a betta tank or other small aquarium. For planted tanks, bottom heat stimulates growth, while keeping tropical fish happy.

I really like these heating pads. The fact that they have thermastats really help. On the top end this mat can put out some good heat. I use these for 10 gallon sized tanks to provide a good heat graident.
